Over the past few years I have worked in various sectors, from jobs in the hospitality industry to Administrative roles in health care .
These jobs have allowed me learn to work independently using my own initiative, yet able to work effectively alongside other team member. As a result I believe myself to be a well-rounded individual, confident and very willing to learn new skills.
The hospitality industry is an integral part of our society , people have long since traveled for commerce or leisure; It has however developed with the introduction of technology, and change in geographical accessibility. It is therefore clear that the industry is very exciting , but it is also challenging.
i love the industry , it is engaging , handwork but very rewarding.
I hope to one day run a hotel; But for now i am excited to learn and develop my personal and profession skills, whilst working along side interesting industry professionals.

However i work as part of the events team. this usually entails setting up before and events , waitressing during the event and then clearing up after the event . In addition to this i do part time marketing work , for example , google ad campaigns , and flyers and e-marketing for events .

Since starting university I was lucky to become part of an exciting new hotel and the team at Spitbank fort. When I first started the hotel had only recently become operational, and had a very small team. As a result of the luxury hotel having small team it meant that all team members played an important role in the day to day running of the hotel. The hotel is location in the middle of the Solent, this means the function of the hotel is so different to that of a hotel on land, this is from the ordering of food and the power / energy structure and even staffing issues. However the best thing about this job is that it allows me to be in direct contact with guests, improving my upselling and customers service skill.

I worked for John Lewis Milton Keynes at the The Place To Eat. My job role required me to work the front of house as well as back of house. It required me to not only work the tills but also the floor and dish wash. I enjoyed my job as it helped improve my communication skills; it also taught me how to deal with difficult customers or other queries that I may not have otherwise encountered in another occupation. I also gained a brief understanding in other roles that are important for the restaurant to run smoothly.
