It is always difficult to write a cover letter, because essentially is trying to sell ourselves as good as possible. In my opinion, a good motivation arises from a definite I am. And it is for this reason that I will begin this text by elucidating what is my goal of life: to concentrate all my energy for being able to help, serve and make people happy. Since I was a child, my dream was to open a restaurant. Maybe the Disney movie “Ratatouille”, maybe my grand-mother’s recipes or simply something that came from inside me; I do not know. But what I know for sure is that passion and perseverance will be guiding me along my path.
So, in order to reach my objective, I decided to enroll at the State School of Tourism and Hotel Management in Bellinzona, Switzerland (SSAT.ch). I am actually specializing myself in hotel management, focusing on kitchen, administration and service training. My first year was amazing: I was astonished of all the little details that I was thought and day after day, I was convincing myself that this is actually my way. As a matter of fact, during this year I began with my training ship at the Merlingen Beatus Hotel in Thun, Switzerland. My principal task was to help in the kitchen, helping in dishes compositions and customer service. But I think that the most useful thing that I learned was to work under stress conditions, being able to solve problems and evaluate the time in order to accomplish my task as precisely as possible.
In November I started my training in customer service in Zermatt, Hotel Post ****.
I learned to dominate stressful situations and manage the complaints that were created in the evening chaos of the restaurant (always very full).
In mid-April I started my experience in reception in Spain, Hotel Costa Taurito **** in Gran Canaria, but for family reasons I had to leave and then return to Ticino, Switzerland.
I ended my first year of practice at the hotel la turret ****, in reception. I learned so many things besides the normal check-in and check-out tasks.
I'm doing the last year of school now and I'm looking for places for my next internships.
I think that I can define myself as hard working, humble and really interested person. I promise that I will make everything in order to not disappoint you.
In addition to my mother tongue (Italian) I also have a good knowledge of German, English and French (sometimes incorrectly).
I would like to take advantage of this experience to improve fluency.
I hope that my profile will interest you, because I am really interest in working with your team.
