As a graduate of international schools there has always been the desire and urge to explore new cultures and make new friends.
Therefore one can conclude that to travel and work abroad has always been there which means I am internationally orientated. After having developed my career in the Netherlands, I have felt that the time has come for me to take the “next step” in my career and work abroad. I was determined to take this step because the hunger for success and exploring a new world with its cultures, traditions and languages has always been there.
In this I have been successful by starting a job abroad. However now that I have mastered my current position, I would like to move on and grow unfortunately, this is not possible with my current employer. Also I would like to change my environment so that I can challenge myself again on a new and higher lever. I feel and know, that should I be provided with the right conditions and challenges I will prevail once again and show my true potentials, skills and knowledge that I have gained from the Netherlands as well as here.

Because by working in the hotel and tourism industry one gets to experience new rich history, cultures, traditions and meet new people and combined with the fact, that I have worked over seven years in the hotel and tourism industry, has made me more than capable to meet customer demands, answering queries, handle issues and complaints in a quick and effective manner before it escalates. Being a shift leader and a trainer for the night has given me the skills of managing and training people, as well as bearing a responsibility in how presentable my team is at night. As well as being able to take the right decision in a quick and effective manner.

    Front Office reception

    Part of the pre-opening team. Responsible for the management of the reception at night, as well as being a direct line of communication between the Director Of Rooms, Front Office Manager and the receptionists. As well as assisting in front office projects which have been delegated by the Director of rooms and Front Office Manager.  Snagging of rooms.  Preparing and implementing the procedures for the night.  Checking the reservations (i.e. rate checks, room allocation etc.).  Auditing before the night run (i.e. rebates, checking the credit card machines etc.)  Writing and sending reports.  Checking Hotel premises.  Handling any issues that occur during the night concerning guests, staff or hotel.  Monitoring the front office K.P.I’s (i.e. GHA, GSS, Revinate, GSA performance & Revenue targets)  Monitoring the upselling of the staff.  Training receptionists in SOP’s.  Performing Night Audit.  Administrative work.  Preparing for the morning briefings.
