As a graduate from Wavecrest College of Hospitality with an upper credit in Hospitality Management, I have undergone several internships with prestigious hotels such as Protea, Intercontinental, Oriental and Eko hotel. These placements have enabled me to develop not only specific hospitality experience but also valuable skills in the industry.
During these placements, I worked in different departments - kitchen, housekeeping, laundry, restaurant, reservation and reception. I took part in guest relations and tele-sales thereby utilising excellent communication skills. I also developed and maintained successful working relationships with both internal and external staff.
I have extensive internship experience in different hotel environments and service industry giving me varied skills and ability to work with many kinds of people. I believe I could fit easily into your team. I am a conscientious person who works hard and pays attention to details. I am flexible, quick to pick up new skills and eager to learn from others. Create, load and update all GUEST, Agency and Company profiles as per the prescribed Head Office standard Attach documentation to profiles and update daily from checked out folios. Check established data for accuracy and update as required. Capture Guest Comment cards on the GUEST’s Profiles. Use the Guest comment cards to - Log preferences and complaints on Opera and - To update GUESTS’ profile Foster and maintain good working relationships with the Head Office Profiling Department Adherence to laid down procedures and standards as set by the Department Head. Effective filing & carrying out of additional duties, as requested by the Departmental Head. Arrival Calls to Confirmed arrivals for the day to confirm arrival time and wish them a safe trip/ travels. Daily welcome letters . Complete VIP GUEST gifting as per VIP Format including allocating rooms as per preferences and ensuring DO NOT move is ticked. Alerts for MODS to call after arrival. Obtain Lost property Book from EXEC Housekeeper and email/ Call GUESTS with left Items recorded from previous day Assist with Airline crew Check in and Check out Ensure you have enough rate sheets on the desk to last a min of 2 days at the correct RAC rate Assist reservations with calling Non Guaranteed reservations for following days where possible.
