The University of Applied Sciences HTW Chur is an innovative and entrepreneurial higher education institution with around 1,700 students and based in Graubünden. It has been part of the University of Applied Sciences of Eastern Switzerland (FHO) since 2000 and was founded back in 1963 as “Abendtechnikum Chur”, a technical college offering evening courses. Around 1,700 students are studying at the institution.
HTW Chur is also actively involved in applied research and development and provides consultancy and other services for the region across all its disciplines. Their bachelor's and master’s degree courses in the fields of tourism and service design are part of the Institute for Tourism and Leisure (ITF). HTW Chur – more than any other university of applied sciences in Switzerland – focuses on innovation and an international perspective. The aim is to optimally prepare the students both professionally and personally for a career in tourism, leisure industries and other service sectors.

Bachelor's Degree Tourism (full-time)
The Bachelor in Tourism introduces the students to tourism as a business discipline and helps to successfully create customer-focused offers that include a consistently high level of service.
Bachelor's Degree Service Design (part-time)
The part-time course of studies in tourism with the major Service Design is focused on the production of services and their optimasiation by using the most modern digital technologies. The aim is to design successful and customer-orientated offers.
