ROC Horizon College, Hospitality and catering department

The Horizon college may well be called a highly ambitious educational institute, with significant international contacts with other schools and workplacements abroad.
The school has its expertise in vocational education and it offers an enormous variety in vocational courses, for no less than 11.000 students, at four different locations. These four locations are situated in the region of Noord Holland e.g. Alkmaar, Heerhugowaard, Hoorn and Purmerend.
In one of the sectors of the Horizon College, Trade and Commerce, the Hospitality and catering department provides a series of vocational courses for jobs such as , assistant cooks, chefs, waiters and waitresses, and also for hospitality entrepreneurs and managers ( level four).
A strong team of enthusiastic and motivated teachers, takes pride in making students passionate and highly skilled professionals. This department has clear goals and uses different means and methods to offer an education which is ,first and foremost, challenging for young students. Projects, international internships, and assignments to prove excellence, are a few examples of activities in the scedule.
Additionally our school restaurant and school café provides this department with an effective way to practice skills and techniques for young chefs, waiters and waitresses. To sum it all up : a great start to a career in the Hospitality business !!
