The mission of the Department of Nutrition and Hospitality Management at the University of Mississippi is to create, evaluate, share, and apply knowledge to prepare individuals to engage in professional and ethical endeavors in nutrition and hospitality management that enhance the quality of life for individuals, families, organizations, and communities.
The department offers a bachelor's and 100% online master's degrees in Hospitality Management. The B.S. in Hospitality Management is designed to enhance and strengthen our students critical thinking and problem-solving skills so that they can address, meet, and adapt to the various needs of the hospitality industry in managerial positions. The online M.S. in Hospitality Management prepares management-level professionals for advancement of knowledge in hospitality management. The program aims to provide graduate students the opportunity to develop more effective operational and analytical skills while preparing individuals for leadership positions and career advancement in operations management or new careers in teaching and research.
