What makes The Ritz London so special? It’s the question that launched our conversation with Ben Dalton, Reception Manager at the world renown 5-star hotel. He explains to hosco tv that in addition to boasting over 100 years of illustrious history and being conceived by the “king of hoteliers” himself, César Ritz, the hotel owes its prestige to its long-standing staff, who impart a sense of trust, familiarity and security to Ritz guests.
Ben, who started his career at the Ritz as a Rooms Division management trainee, discusses what skills are needed to lead the reception desk, and walks us through his typical day, which starts very early (and never without coffee!) and often finishes in an unexpected way after a few twists and turns.
