Olivier Cibille Restaurant Director, Tour First La Défense

Olivier Sibille is living proof of what he calls “internal evolution,” or promotion from within, at Compass Group France. Olivier joined Compass Group in 2008 as a Restaurant Manager at the company's own headquarters in Paris, and he has since evolved to become the Restaurant Director of La Tour First, a large office building in Paris's La Défense business district.

Olivier and his team of 50 employees service over 1'600 clients a day across five points of sale, which together generate €4.4 million in annual revenue. Olivier's duties include both managerial and administrative tasks as well as a large dose of client relations. His day starts at 7:30 AM and is split between preparation for service, floor supervision, client relations, and financial reporting to his Division Manager.

Olivier says that to become a Restaurant Director, a candidate must first and foremost enjoy both client and employee relations, as human contact is a major part of the job. What he loves most about working for Compass is the capacity for growth and the challenges that the company has offered him over the course of the past eight years.
