Senior Business Development Manager

Primary Responsibilities

Sales Management

  • Manage assigned portfolio of accounts
  • Take all necessary actions to maximize GOP in the assigned portfolio
  • Continuous efforts to meet portfolio growth objectives
  • Serve as one point of contact for clients and communicate with them via phone / email to respond to questions and requests
  • Drive and strategize with Local and International Wholesalers into our hotels.
  • Strategize the business plan on the insight and behaviors of the portfolio by each geo source.
  • Executing initiatives or packages to mitigate the need and maximize the demand periods
  • Respond to clients questions about property facilities / services (e.g. hours of operation, rates and room types, packages, promotions, vouchers restaurants etc)
  • Address clients’ requests to maximize client satisfaction while observing the hotel’s policies where appropriate
  • Solicit new accounts of key segments to build better funnel processes
  • Interact with clients in regards to leads, hotels needs and client requirements
  • Meet with clients to effectively and professionally convey details of their requirements
  • Conduct site inspection for both guestrooms and meeting rooms including hotel facilities
  • Entertainment of clients in our F&B outlets when and where possible
  • Increase in overall hotel business conversion percentage
  • Establish strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business
  • Follow up and confirm with clients on all information pertaining to the events and to organize information for accurate turnover once event is definite
  • Detailed handover to Events Management Team including completing all information in the required handover form
  • Create and manage company profiles in the PMS Opera System, ANAIS System
  • Daily update of sales report in ANAIS System, DSR and show around report
  • File and retrieve documents and reference materials in the shared drive
  • Conduct research and collect data to prepare reports and documents
  • Respond to feedback from clients and provide after-sales support when required
  • Maintain adequate communication with other departments in the hotel so that the needs of clients can be anticipated and met in an organized manner
  • Manage customer budgets to maximize revenue and meeting customer needs
  • Make best efforts to upsell, drive additional revenue and incremental business for each event
  • Check room block and meeting space are blocked correctly in the system against agreement sent
  • Initiate billing procedures, check on all billing facility and ensure clients’ credibility, deposits and credit applications are received with adequate information within an acceptable time frame
  • It is a MUST to meet and greet the organizers during and throughout the events
  • Interact with guests and clients to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels
  • Respond to and handle guest feedback and complaints
  • Strive to improve service performance
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Create emotion, surprise and pleasure for each of our guests through attention to detail and a passion for excellence
  • Treat guests and ambassadors from all cultural groups with respect, sensitivity and transparency
  • Refer to the Sofitel Brand Standards and ensure compliance in every way
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, licensing laws and other legal regulations
  • Comply with hotel and department policies and procedures at all times
  • Assist with any other Sales & Marketing projects as requested

Other Responsibilities

  • Attend all briefings, meetings and trainings as assigned by management
  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times
  • Be aware of the hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures
  • Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the assigned by the Management
