DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:-

• Meeting with FOM on a daily basis in order to follow up on outstanding issues and for updates of the daily undertakings.
• Communicate and liaise with FOM on a daily basis to ensure an efficient operation of the Butler services.
• Update guest information and other guest profile details in Opera.
• To assure a smooth operations with the highest standards of service to the guests.
• To ensure cost effective means of operations and assist in effective organization of the department.
• To ensure the highest level of profitability of the department.
• To identify problem areas as identified by guest feed-back and take corrective measures
• To control and maintain efficient organization and work methods of the department.
• Performs any other job as assigned by the FOM
• Maintain company’s image portraying a neat and tidy appearance and correct wearing of uniform, following strictly the hotels’ personal hygiene policy.
• Organizes Rota, hours owing and overtime to suit the needs of the Butlers.
• Liaises closely with Front desk team to be aware of late arrivals, early arrivals for the following day, VIP rooms and special requests.
• Listens to employee grievances and/or feedback and brings them to the attention of the FOM
• Gives feedback of employees work performance to the FOM.
• Be able to manage, train and develop a professional staff.
• Available on all shifts as needed.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
• Making final checks of the Villa before arrival of the guest and report and defects to respective departments.
• Meeting and receiving guests in reception and guarantee for excellent arrival experience.
• To make sure that guest history is up-to-date and all information is entered in guest history.
• Meet the guests at least twice a day.
• Assisting food and beverage outlets when arranging special meals and or celebrations to guests if needed.
• To be up-to-date with information on tours, sightseeing and points of general interest, F&B opening hours, special dining moments and reservation requirements and make the necessary bookings when requested.
• To ensure that all guests are made fully aware of the services and facilities available to them.
• Promoting excursions and making arrangements for guest activities and excursions such as picnics, water sports, diving etc.
• Courteously bringing back guest comments and feedback forms from guests.
• Handle guest complaints and provide assistance to guest’s special request whenever required. Make sure all is logged in Opera.
• Propose new ideas and suggestions for the improvement of Butler concept.
• Assume daily duties as assigned by FOM or his designee.
• Selling and up selling in order to achieve the departmental budgets.
• Provide medical assistance on emergencies for guests, and liaise with FOM to outsource assistance if required.
• Taking immediate action and assist guests in cases of fire and hazard.
• To be knowledgeable about AYADA Maldives SOP and be able to give information about the Resort.
• To conduct resort site inspections when directed.
• Attend to daily briefings and weekly briefings, and suggest productive comments and ideas for the improvement of the services.
• Attend social responsibility and environmental activities organized by the resort.
• Attend to training sessions as requested by FOM.
• To assist other Front Office sections when required.
• Guarantee the tidiness and cleanliness of buggies.
• Be conversant with the Front Office computer system.
• Cooperate with the staff from all departments, in particular Housekeeping, Accounting, Reservations and F&B.
• Performs any other job as assigned by the FOM
• To carry out any other duties / projects as directed by management.

• Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve overall objectives of this position.
• To understand and strictly adhere to the Rules & Regulations established in the Employees Handbook and the Hotel’s policy on Fire, Hygiene, and Health & Safety.

• To ensure that all potential and real hazards are reported and rectified immediately.
• To undertake training as and when requested to all butlers.
• To understand and strictly adhere to the Resort’s Employee rules & regulations.
• To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag at all times.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:-

• High School Diploma or Bachelor degree in hotel management
• Fluent in spoken & written English
• Fluent in Chinese
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Good health, well groomed and with high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times
• Physically strong, energetic and dynamic person with a positive and motivated attitude and exercise self-control
• Self-motivated, hard-working, sensible, able to work under pressure, pleasant, responsible, independent, initiative, outgoing personality and ability to communicate with people at all levels
• Providing services that are above and beyond for guest satisfaction and retention.
