Change & Release Manager, Asia Pacific

Job Purpose
The Change and Release Manager has overall accountability for the delivery of IT changes and releases, and they are made efficiently, with minimum risk to the organization. The key is facilitation of changes efficiently into the Production environment using the release management framework. This role has a duty to protect the IT systems of the organization, ensuring the changes that are made do not present an unacceptable risk, by looking for conflicts in active changes and determining the appropriate action.
The Change and Release Manager will manage the new service delivery from build to run of required infrastructure and application solutions and is accountable for the entire service lifecycle.
The Change and Release Manager works with our outsourcing partners who will enable the delivery of new and operate the existing solutions while ensuring the required ITIL best practices & operational governance are applied.
The Change and Release Manager is the go-to expert for above ITIL processes and ITSM applications and tools which supports CHANEL’s Infrastructure & Operations team, works in close collaboration with all Technology & Digital Services Domains (Application Teams). Local IT Colleagues and Infrastructure teams while providing consulting support to the business directly where required.
Key Responsibilities
- Governs the change, release, and configuration management processes end-to-end in a multi-provide environment with internal and external delivery teams
- Develops standards and common practices including definition of all types of changes, approval levels for each change type
- Chairs and administers the Change Advisory Board (CAB) and emergency change (eCAB)
- Develops and maintains a holistic view of the release and change schedules
- Continual Service Improvement initiatives
- Promotes a DevOps culture
- Review DevOps maturity including adoption and metrics related to Source Control, CI/CD, and Artifact Management and Change Management
- Organize operational meeting with stakeholders (Application and Infrastructure) and Regional Service Desk governance (Change, Incident and Problem)
Project Delivery
- Able to work with project stakeholders to manage changes and releases into Production Environment, monitoring and managing the progress of project releases.
- Maintains a broad understanding of various technologies used in Chanel’s environment inclusive of infrastructure and applications
- Share clear release status communications with all stakeholders
- Support the QA team to help ensure quality release delivery
- Facilitates the flow of features within defined release trains
Continual Service Improvement
- Support the response to post implementation reviews and retrospectives
- Own and follow up on ITSM gaps and root causes resulting in incidents in a timely manner
- Define service improvement initiatives and remediation activities
