The Disney Princess, Frozen & Tinker Bell team is responsible for managing these collective global brands including licensing characters from Disney’s catalog of films characters such as Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Mulan, Pocahontas, Tiana, Rapunzel, Merida, Anna, Elsa and Tinker Bell. In addition the team is the liaison with other Walt Disney Company divisions and retailers around the world and is responsible for building marketing programs and franchise initiatives in order to grow product sales and maximize the Disney portfolio.

Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media (DCPI) is the business segment of The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS) that brings our Company's stories and characters to life through innovative and engaging physical products and digital experiences across more than 100 categories, from toys and t-shirts, to apps and console games. DCPI comprises: Disney Consumer Products (DCP), and Disney Interactive (DI). The combined segment is home to world class teams of app and game developers, licensing and retail experts, a leading retail business (Disney Store), artists and storytellers, and technologists who inspire imaginations around the world.

The Disney Professional Internships program offers a unique opportunity to explore the world of Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media (DCPI) in a seasonal, paid assignment with meaningful and productive projects that allow you to build your resume. You will be provided with challenging projects, performance feedback, valuable networking opportunities, and many educational and social opportunities. This position will start in September and last through January.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and maintain accuracy of informational library/tools; licensee contact list, product (sku) portfolio, franchise recap (external), franchise plans (internal), etc.
  • Create and present 1-2 category opportunity projects; overview of category, market sizing, key players, and recommendation.
  • Assist with the preparation of licensee presentations
  • Assist with the preparation/presentation of internal meetings, road shows, and events
  • Assist the Category Director with day to day business needs
Basic Qualifications
  • Self-motivated and able to work relatively independently
  • Confident, but able to ask for assistance when uncertain
  • Display ability to multi-task, managing a variety of initiatives / issues simultaneously
  • Capable of meeting deadlines and dealing with time constraints
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to build relationships, be flexible/adaptable, able to collaborate, influence and persuade
  • Possess strong analytical skills
  • Familiarity with The Walt Disney Company brand and its businesses
Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in Consumables, Toys or Apparel desirable
Required Education Enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class or be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program.
Preferred Education Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree with a major in Business or Marketing
