The Director, Disney Cruise Line Infrastructure & Operations will be responsible for ensuring DCL is equipped with innovative IT Service Management policies, Infrastructure delivery & management. This executive will be responsible for decisions & governance related to prioritization, process engineering, and infrastructure delivery as well as collaborating with the application development teams and technology leaders. This role is responsible for the executive business relationship management, defining Technology availability success for business & technical services throughout DCL.
Responsibilities
  • Lead & deliver on the concept of Infrastructure Delivery within a light, agile framework responsible for day-to-day delivery as well as Capital & Expense driven projects to uplift, refresh & migration DCL infrastructure.
  • Lead & deliver ship refurbishment projects to include planning, resourcing, estimating and implementing
  • Lead & deliver new DCL assests to include include planning, resourcing, estimating and implementing
  • Deliver, setup, install, and breakdown temporary port systems in remote locations.
  • Ongoing operations of network and satellite operations
  • Partner with global network and security operations teams
  • Partner with the DCL line of business to develop innovative and supportable technology solutions.
  • Partner with shipboard Engineering teams to staff, mentor, and direct shipboard IT operations.
  • Partner with the DCL new asset development teams to develop and implement performant and supportable technology solutions to enable next generation Guest and Crew experiences.
  • Deliver and maintain shipboard communications to include network, satellite, data centers, databases, virtual machines and hardware
Basic Qualifications
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in IT/IS management.
  • Excellent technical skills on server, storage, network, security, server virtualization & public cloud technologies
  • Experience leading agile delivery transformation
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading triage & critical problem solving of integration functions on enterprise-scale solutions.
  • Deep understanding of network and communications technologies and architectures, including satellite.
  • Demonstrated mastery of IT Service Management processes.
  • Demonstrated track-record of delivering innovative, high quality solutions on-time and on-budget including annual operating & 5-year financial plan detail
  • Demonstrated inclusive leadership, which embraces diversity.
  • Ability to communicate to executive audiences, and deliver results through influence.
Required Education
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline or equivalent experience
Preferred Education
  • Masters in Computer Science or related Engineering Field
