Would you like to work in a fun, fast-paced, and customer-focused role? Do you enjoy organizing events and activities? We are looking for an Activities Coordinator to help make our guests have a wide range of Fairmont experiences they can participate in while staying at Fairmont. The primary function of this position is to work in conjunction with the Activities Manager to provide daily support, planning, and facilitation of a variety of resort activities.Hotel Overview:

JOB SUMMARY
 
The post holder will be responsible for planning and organizing activities for all guests, at various times during the day. There will be times when additional hours may be required in order to facilitate outings and event; therefore a flexible approach will be adopted in order for guests to receive the greatest advantage.
 
The post holder will be required to support and facilitate guest’s social, intellectual and spiritual well-being, through activity, by supporting interests and enabling participation. To assist in the organization and implementation of individual, group activities to promote and support each resident’s aspirations.
 
The post holder will deliver physical, psychological and social care to all of the frail elderly guests of the hotel.
 
Ensure the smooth running of the routines within the hotel, and involving the Keyworker system in all activities as well as any staff in the induction period. The recording and maintenance of crucial records relating to guests activities and preferences, answering enquiries from guests and any professional bodies associated with the provision of holistic and recreational care of the guest.
 
The post holder will also be responsible for the organization of events / activities and the maintenance of financial records (verifiable by six monthly audits) relating to this.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
 
Deliver a high level of personal and psychological care to all guests in a professional manner.
 
Maintain good communication levels to ensure smooth operation of role and high levels of co-operation. Support all areas of team working within the hotel, to the extent that the role remains an integral element of the daily routines.
 
Complete records where required to a satisfactory standard.
 
Ensure the individual rights of residents and staff are safeguarded in accordance with the Home’s philosophy of care by being aware of the working practices and activities being actioned
 
Maintain client, staff and business confidentiality at all times
 
Plan daytime and evening time activities
Maintain an awareness of the Health and Safety requirements.
Coordinate the activities program with other services in the facility.
Encourage resident participation in activities and document outcomes
Work individually and within the team to provide the necessary back up for all colleagues, to a standard commensurate with aims and objectives of the Hotel and in consideration of its guests.
Observe and maintain high levels of communication within the teams of staff, individual colleagues and guests.

Summary of Responsibilities: 
Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 
  •  Work with other departments such as Food and Beverage on co-hosting various events (ex. Cooking demonstrations and Bingo)
  •  Coordinate activities across all age ranges and preferences (ex. indoor, outdoor, physical) -
  • Conduct adult and children’s activities. 
  • Set up activities prior to activity start time. Clean up activities immediately upon conclusion.
  • Conduct and actively participate in outdoor games (including pool and lawn games)
  • Ensure guests safety during activities.
  •  Responsible for enforcing safety rules and procedures with guests.
  • Maintain Kids room and Adults Activity center in a neat manner and in working order; keep all activities area orderly and clean
  • . Responsible for sign out procedures of games and equipment Keep inventory, submit order requests and inform Manager when supplies are low. 
  • Conduct special events such as holiday parties, pool parties, or events etc.
  • Be creative and suggest new ideas, games and other fun activities. 
  • Make his/her presence known by speaking and engaging regularly with the guests and guests’ children so they are aware of the events and activities taking place. 
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Possess very good customer service skills and good judgment
    Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or general education or one to three years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    Skills like Dancing/Singing/Mehndi designing/Playing Music would be an advantage.
    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to clients, and other team members of the organization. Ability to communicate needs or concerns to his/her Manager and superiors. Ability to converse in English and Hindi. Knowledge of Rajasthani language would be an added advantage.
