Hotel Overview: 

Situated atop the scenic bluffs overlooking Santa Monica Beach, Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows is just a stone's throw away from some of Southern California’s best attractions including Santa Monica Pier and its historic carousel as well as Third Street Promenade -- famous for its fine restaurants, live entertainment, movie theatres, shopping, local artists' scene and a weekly farmer’s market. 


Summary of Responsibilities: Reporting to the Director, Front Office, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Make reservations, greet, check in and make arrangements for all guests of the Beach Club ensuring all service standards are followed
  • Check email, review daily reports, review and familiarize yourself with resumes
  • Respond to email inquiries in a helpful and informative way
  • Review VIP arrivals for the day, including but not limited to:
    • Inspecting VIP rooms, check room condition cleanliness, check room traces and ensure proper amenity deliveries
    • Assist with VIP arrival meet and greets
  • Reach out to incoming guests to confirm arrival information and details
  • Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
  • Follow department policies, procedures and service standards
  • Follow all safety policies 
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Proficient in the English language (verbal & written), second language is an asset
  • Must be able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment 
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Previous customer related experience an asset
  • Previous PMS experience an asset 
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications an asset
  • Must be able to type 25 words per minute
  • Must possess a professional presentation 
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
  • Must be flexible in terms of working hours
  • Must have the ability to handle cash effectively and accurately 


Physical Aspects of Position: 

  • Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps


Visa Requirements:  Must provide proof of eligibility to be employed in the United States of America.
