Project an image of friendliness, professionalism and willingness to provide personalized services to all building occupants, workers, and neighbors, whether over the phone or in person. Exhibit teamwork. Honor the guest, employee, and Resort confidentiality policy. Help maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the resort by picking up minor debris and informing Housekeeping if more cleaning is required; help maintain to keep your work area safe and orderly. Act as liaison with all law enforcement agencies, city and governmental agencies and hotel associations. Assist Assistant Security Manager with responsibility to ensure the protection of guests, patrons and associates; their property, hotel property, building and grounds.  Enforce hotel rules, regulations and policies as well as the department’s rules, policies and standards. Assist with control of loading dock to facilitate a respectful and pleasant working area. Patrol building noting and correcting safety, security, and fire hazards. Respond properly in any resort emergency or safety situation. Assist Training Manager with training in Fire Life Safety, and other safety training. Write comprehensive incident reports and conducts thorough investigations.  Maintain report records, assist and follow-up on investigations, and approve reports and logs.  Initiates and assists General Liability reports.  Promotes loss prevention through training and awareness throughout the building to reduce claims. Manage and supervise the day-to-day security force of the property to ensure the safety and security of all guests, personnel and property. Review and conduct performance evaluations for Security staff. Select, train, schedule, discipline and direct security personnel in all aspects of security policies and procedures. Keep abreast of developments within the resort and community as they relate to security as well as act as a liaison with local law-enforcement agencies. Take an active role in the development and implementation of the resort fire plan. In addition to testing the resort Fire and Emergency Response preparedness. Take responsibility for all training related to the hotel's emergency procedures, and conduct Fire Drills. Conduct and/ or organize Hazard Communication and Blood Bourne Pathogen training classes. Prevent situations that could jeopardize the reputation of the hotel. Maintain data collection program, and data distribution. Respond to all emergency calls including Emergency Response Team calls.  Will assist in the Fire Command Center when needed. Display complete knowledge of the Fire/Life System and all support systems, their functions and emergency response procedures. Able walk / run up stairs carrying a fire extinguisher. Respond to and mediate all non-emergency security calls, minor injuries, disputes, stressful, and complicated issues etc. Provide First Aid and CPR.  Maintain certification for CPR and First Aid given by the resort. Able to place a static hold on a person who is flailing arms and torso movement. Contain and transport items potentially contaminated in accordance with Blood Borne Pathogen Program and training. Provide basic security services, key control, reprogramming, guestroom safe malfunctions, and lock out. Conduct Safety Inspections throughout the resort. Share duties in Operations Center with emergency and department phone monitoring, closed circuit television monitoring, alarm monitoring, vendor/solicitor/visitor access, and key control. Maintain proper post and proper posture. Follow proper uniform and payroll procedures. Assign out master keys and radio to coworkers. Review all materials concerning daily events, i.e., return guests, VIPs and function sheets. Provide information regarding resort events, outlets and amenities. Use the resort computer system to access basic guest information. Follow lost and found procedures. Conduct V.I.P. escorts in a professional and courteous manner. Monitor the Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), I am aware of all the regulation governing the work of the CCTV room of the resort and I am fully aware of the confidentiality and importance of the information which in front of me. I hereby declare that I’m responsible for not disclosing any visible or audible information to any employee inside or outside the security department, only to the direct manager, I have full administrative and legal responsibility to do so in accordance with the provisions of the resort. Able to walk long distances during patrolling of building and to stand for long periods of time while a protective post. Be aware of suspicious persons. Run errands. Report deficiencies noted in guest rooms to the appropriate staff. Perform any special projects deemed necessary by Security Manager. Responsible for Assistant Security Manager duties during absence.
