Job Summary

The Hilton Minneapolis hotel is a gorgeous 25-story, Victorian-style brick high-rise that boasts a fantastic location in the center of Minneapolis'' financial center and is within minutes of many Minneapolis attractions. Conveniently connected to the Minneapolis Convention Center, this Minneapolis, Minnesota hotel is a world-class convention and leisure destination located near theaters, shops, restaurants and other cultural attractions. We are just steps from Target Center and Target Field. The Mall of America, Minnesota Zoo, and TCF Bank Stadium are just a short drive away.
Our guests can host events or special occasions in one of the hotel''s 35 meeting rooms, or tie the knot in style in our luxurious 25,000 sq. ft. Minneapolis Ballroom.  In total the hotel boasts 77,000 square feet of meeting space and 821 guest rooms!

The Senior Catering Manager is responsible for developing market segments and soliciting new customers to purchase food and beverage and utilize event facilities in the hotel''s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.


What will I be doing?

As a Senior Catering Manager, you would be responsible for developing market segments and soliciting new customers to purchase food and beverage and utilize event facilities in the hotel''s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Develop market segments and solicit new customer relationships while maintaining existing relationships
  • Conduct conferences and external sales presentations to groups and prospective customers to solicit, explain, negotiate and secure group and local catering business
  • Host and entertain clients and maintain client accounts
  • Conduct property tours and participate in trade shows, industry and community events to promote facilities and services
  • Negotiate services and prices to maximize revenue and profitability
  • Assist the Director in the management of the department, as needed
