Job Summary

Manage and direct all aspects of the food and beverage operation under the general direction of the Director of Operations and within the limits of established Hotel and local policies and procedures.
Our unique location offers our guests two hotels from the Hilton brand to choose from: Hilton Queenstown Resort and Spa and DoubleTree by Hilton Queenstown and all of our Team Members get to work across both brands

As Food & Beverage Manager you will manage and train the Food & Beverage departments to deliver excellent guest experience, departmental budget and cost controls, ordering supplies and ensuring Workplace Health and Safety and HACCP requirements are consistently met. More specifically, you will: 

  • Manage overall day to day operation of all Food and Beverage departments

  • Ensure an efficient and productive team environment within the whole Food & Beverage department

  • Provide support and guidance to all Food and Beverage Outlet Managers and Supervisors

  • Make a positive impact, taking personal responsibility and initiative to resolve issues, always clearly communicating with guests, staff and colleagues

  • Be responsible for interviewing, recruitment, employee orientation, on the job performance and training to ensure appropriate staffing and productivity

  • Conduct coaching and mentoring for Team Members, developing and maintaining training plans including performance assessment and any disciplinary activities as required

  • Participate in the preparation of the Food & Beverage department budget, forecasts and goals

  • Control and analyse the food and beverage operation on an ongoing basis, including Guest satisfaction, merchandising and marketing, operating and payroll costs and departmental health & safety


Theideal candidate would have a passion for Food & Beverage and delivering anexceptional guest experience.  To besuccessful in this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skillsand values that follow: 

  • 3 years experience in a previous Food & Beverage Management role or Assistant Manager role
  • Ability to meet financial targets
  • Ability to comply with specific brand standards
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Passion in the development of Team Members
  • Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
  • Exhibits exemplary personal appearance and attitude, maintains highest standards of hygiene and quality assurance practices
