This Marketing Execution and Operations position is a leadership role requiring a high level of strategic and organizational capability. You’ll have responsibility to ensure our key marketing initiatives, campaigns and projects are delivered across Asia Pacific on time and on budget. You will be required to have exceptional project and stakeholder management skills and be prepared to roll up your sleeves to support with execution.   


What will I be doing? 

As the Director, Marketing Execution & Operations - APAC, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Planning

  • Lead the annual marketing planning process aligning with the global and regional priorities

Budget Management

  • Lead the planning & reporting process of the APAC Marketing & Loyalty corporate budget and regional co-op funds
  • Identify savings to potentially be moved to alternative projects, ensuring funds are allocated to drive strong performance and meet business needs
  • Partner with the Finance team to streamline the invoicing & payment process and develop the cross-charge process of the Media Performance Marketing Program and AMEX activities with clear SLA & escalation paths

Project Management

  • Develop and oversee detailed plans for key strategic initiatives including the creation of multi-phase project plans which incorporate contingency planning and project risk analysis. Projects can range from more technical to strategic in nature, involving teams across the marketing organization as well as key stakeholders outside marketing including partner agencies.
  • Stay on top of all projects in motion, effectively communicate potential challenges or pitfalls
  • Drive operational efficiency and effectiveness by continuously develop and refine tools, templates and ways of working

Campaign Execution

  • Lead the delivery of “pay-to-play” tactical regional promotions and always-on retargeting and prospecting campaign, making strategic recommendations on marketing plans and capabilities
  • Track and manage creative review and delivery process, facilitating check-ins and approvals
  • Partner with the Media and Social teams to drive campaign performance including exploring new partners and products

Agency Management

  • Consult the Marketing & Loyalty team on which agencies to work with based on their project requirements and provide Hilton’s internal creative agency visibility into APAC creative / production needs and drive prioritization decisions on APAC projects to be handled internally
  • Manage the relationship with external agencies by clearly and effectively communicating deliverables, budget and timing
  • Identify how the Marketing & Loyalty team can lean further on external agencies and set up the right support model

Sites Management

  • Launch the new retail APAC site and lead the ongoing development & optimization of the site
  • Lead the SEO optimization of the local language sites (prioritizing the top performing sites)
  • Manage the APAC sites budget, providing monthly forecast and ensuring the budget is used effectively and efficiently to drive revenue to APAC hotels whilst reducing workload from Hilton resource

Team Management

  • Seek ways to improve operational performance, remove roadblocks when needed, provide training and mentoring, conduct performance reviews and career development discussions

A Director, Marketing Execution & Operations - APAC serving Hilton Brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow:

  • Accomplished in building positive relationships across a matrixed organization
  • Strong ability to collaborate while persuasively selling-in ideas that are not always immediately intuitive 
  • Confidently communicate ideas to senior executive 
  • Able to commit between July 2021 to February 2022

Required Qualifications

  • BA / BS Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field
  • Seven (7) years in corporate marketing or marketing agency roles
  • Three (3) years of people management experience
  • Excellent project management capabilities to stay on top of details, deliverables and anticipate and propose solutions to potential roadblocks to keep activities on track
  • Strong prioritization and decision-making skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects with deadlines
  • Strong digital marketing and social media skills to make strategic recommendations on marketing plans
  • Proven strategic thinking from concept to implementation to facilitate solutions that drive results and have a valuable and sustained impact on the organization
  • Ability to work effectively and influence others toward a common direction and with a common vision in a matrixed environment including working within and among teams, across diverse functions and locations, and influence others at all levels to move projects forward
  • Shown experience owning the inception to completion of a marketing campaign with a large, cross-functional team
  • Strong analytical skills 
  • Hands-on, hardworking and self-motivated, able to work independently as well as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA / Master's Degree in Marketing or related field
  • Ten (10) years in corporate marketing or advertising agency roles
  • Six (6) years of people management experience
  • Hospitality experience
  • Experience working on large digital projects
