Hilton’s Commercial Services organization is comprised of over 4,000 team members driving our sales, revenue management, call center, and analytics functions. These functions are the core of Hilton’s “commercial engine” and are key to Hilton’s ability to drive profitable growth.

What will I be doing?

The Senior Director of Sales - HMS will develop and lead the sales effort for the Pitch Presentation, Business Plan, Sales Performance Strategy, and Sales related business development efforts of all newly acquired Americas Managed Assets. This senior leader will represent Hilton to potential ownership groups, and newly acquired property teams as the Americas Managed Commercial Sales professional on the current enterprise offerings, support teams, initiatives, and objectives.

  • Create and deliver effective Pitch Presentations to prospective owners in collaboration with all relevant business partners who may also be presenting to acquire new managed opportunities for Hilton.
  • Be proficient in articulating all current enterprise Commercial Objectives and their advantages to new potential owners and hotel teams.
  • Develop the funnel of opportunities for Americas Managed with frequent report-outs of opportunity status to prescribed Leadership Groups.
  • Collaborate in the development of Sales and Revenue proformas, budgets, and commercial plans for potential new Americas Managed Assets.
  • Lead the conversion efforts related to the Sales function necessary to establish the asset as an Americas Managed property. 
  • Guide the Directors of Sales, Directors of Catering, and/or Events to ensure group and local revenue targets are met, with a high emphasis on the process surrounding key areas of sales operation that directly influence revenue generation, forecast accuracy, and profitability.
  • Build and maintain relationships providing frequent updates to key internal support teams, such as but not limited to HWS Worldwide Sales, Hilton Brand Leadership, and Hilton Development teams.
  • Ensure all vital Sales conversion strategies and actions are in place and completed on time, which allows the asset to be set up for successful revenue and market share gains from the time of acquisition.

  • Ability to strategically handle change and ensure teamwork to drive collaborative efforts of team members to solve problems proactively
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills that build trust to empower and influence others
  • Challenge and develop teams to grow their career and contribution to Hilton.
  • Lead team members in detailed processes and tasks to ensure project deadlines are met

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Five (5) years of Sales, Revenue Management, and/or Commercial experience
  • Five (5) years in the Hospitality industry with knowledge of analytical reports such as STAR, TravelClick products, and other industry reports
  • Five (5) years spent leading a team of professionals
  • Travel 60%+

It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Hospitality or Economics
  • Ten (10) years of Sales, Revenue Management, and/or Commercial experience
  • Ten (10) years in the Hospitality industry with knowledge of analytical reports such as STAR, TravelClick products, and other industry reports

For Colorado applicants only: The annual salary for this role starts at $121,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location. Hilton offers its eligible team members a comprehensive benefits package including medical and prescription drug coverage, dental coverage, vision coverage, life insurance, short-and long-term disability insurance, a 401(k) savings plan, paid time off, and our travel discount. Subject to plan terms and conditions, you will be eligible to participate in the Hilton Annual Incentive (Bonus) Plan and the Company's long-term incentive plan, consistent with other team members at the same level and/or position within the Company.
