Jumeirah Al Wathba Desert Resort & Spa is a luxury desert resort located 50km to the south east of Abu Dhabi in the Al Wathba District (40 minutes’ drive from Abu Dhabi). It consists of 103 keys in total (90 Guestrooms and 13 Villas), restaurants and bars, conference and meeting facilities, Talise spa and leisure facilities.
 
About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly talented and experienced Hospitality professional to join the Pre-opening team in the Marketing Department at Jumeirah Al Wathba Desert Resort & Resort. The main purpose of the role is to support the implementation of the property's marketing plan, through marketing content development and campaign execution, in order to ensure that all marketing activities successfully reach the target audiences and that the property's brand visibility is enhanced.

Your key responsibilities will include: 
  • Contribute to the development of the marketing plan, in line with the property's marketing strategy, in order to support the creative process and marketing concept formation.
  • Produce marketing collaterals such as online brochures, gift vouchers, etc., in line with the Group’s branding guidelines, to ensure that the agreed upon unique selling points are showcased in a compelling and customer-centric manner.
  • Implement the SBU’s marketing campaigns and promotional activities, as per the marketing plan, to enhance the SBU’s reputation and customer attraction and retention.
  • Recommend marketing initiatives, such as promotions, packages and other incentives, in order to support the achievement of target occupancy levels and adjust efforts to increase off-peak bookings.
  • Monitor the related website content, social media and other digital distribution channels in order to ensure that all marketing channels advertise up-to-date marketing materials and promotional initiatives.
  • Research local industry and competitor trends as well as best practice in terms of hospitality marketing activities in order to enable the Marketing function to foster innovation and enhance the property's image in the marketplace.
  • Track and analyse the effectiveness of the marketing campaigns through key performance indicators in order to provide visibility on their return on investment and impact on target audiences.
  • Coordinate efforts with external service providers, such as creative agencies or print suppliers, in order to ensure that all marketing services and documents provided to the Jumeirah Al Wathba Desert Resort & Spa comply with the agreed upon standards, timelines and budgets.
  • Prepare detailed marketing reports concerning the property's marketing initiatives in order to outline key achievements, activities undertaken and future key initiatives.
  • Complete day-to-day activities by following all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner while delivering a quality service to guests and maintaining standards of excellence.
About You:
 
In order to be considered for this role, you must possess the following selection criteria: 
  • Hold Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or equivalent from an accredited College or University.
  • At least 4 years’ marketing experience preferably with an international hospitality company or a recognized blue-chip organization.
  • A good understanding of marketing processes, marketing content development and marketing best practice.
  • Ccreative and innovative approach to marketing content development
  • A good understanding of core hotel operations
  • A creative thinking and innovation skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A high level of written and verbal business English
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications
