Objective: 

To provide support and assistance to the HR department in order to facilitate a smooth overall operation of On-Boarding and Off-Boarding of colleagues. This position is also responsible for the retention of colleagues by assisting them in the administration of other HR fuctions. The aim of this position is to be source of information and friendly advice to all new and existing colleagues on HR related issues.

Responsibilities: 

·         Administration of the whole recruitment process from analysing the requirement of a position to opening of a vacancy on required portals.

·         Complete know-how of all the potential portals like catereglobal, job Maldives, linkedin etc and posting new vacancies using suitable methods to attract candidates.

·         Introduction of new colleagues and sending welcome emails as and when required.

·         Coordinating the interview process from arranging telephonic/skype interviews, transfer of candidates to and from resort for interview process and ensuring that the assessment forms are completely submitted on time.

·         Conducting interviews for Grade 9 and 10 and sharing interview notes and feedback.

·         Perform reference checks as required ensuring the company recruitment procedures are followed correctly.

·         Ensure that all job descriptions are up to date before a position is advertised and the signed JD shall be placed in the colleague’s file.

·         Preparing offer letter and contracts for new starters and ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed on commencement of employment.

·         Ensure all administrative work (including New Colleague Registrations for Grade 9 & 10, Updating Fusion, and updating of databases) are processed in a timely manner in order to provide excellent internal customer service.

·         Proficient in shortlisting the candiadtes and approaching the potrential hires in a professional manner.

·         To greet all internal customers with a warm welcome to the department to provide a professional and approachable impression of the HR department.

·         To ensure that all HR documentation & colleague information is kept strictly confidential in order to maintain a high level of professionalism in the department.

·         Ensure the files of all the colleagues are up to date as per the new filing standards.

·         Send updates of recruitment to all the HODs once in a week and keep them up to date about current recruitment vacancies, as and when required.

·         Assist colleagues to understand company policies with regards to internal applications, completion of HR Forms etc in order to facilitate the smooth operation of colleague related requirements.  

·         Take initiatives to increase employment brand awareness both internally (i.e. inform employees about their benefits, engagement activities etc) and externally in partnership with the HR team (through recruitment and resource planning).

·         To check the Human Resources incoming e-mails regularly and ensure the flow of internal e-mail is timely.

·         Live the Guiding Principles and Hall marks every day, whilst striving to work towards the Jumeirah vision and providing excellent service to colleagues

·         Ensure to maintain a proper filing system of all documents.

Performs other such duties and functions as may be directed by immediate superiors.


    Experience in a five star property in a similar position, at least for one (1-2) years

•   Strong personality who fosters good team working relations

•   Positive with a ‘can-do’ attitude

•   Friendly and outgoing

•   Able to maintain highly confidential information

•  Experience of working in a multicultural team including working in an isolated resort environment

•  Flexible working hours, hands on, patient, people’s person and very service oriented

•  Strong administrative and organizational skills, able to multitask and meet deadlines

•  Proficient in using Microsoft Office

•   Excellent command of written and spoken English
