The Social Content Creator will execute the Company’s Social Media Strategy by providing the editorial 'voice' for the Social Media content narrative and the respective visual content. Furthermore, the Content Creator is responsible to build and pull through brand awareness and standards, generating inbound traffic through compelling content and encouraging product adoption through social media platforms and channels. This role coordinates with the internal Marketing, PR, F&B, Front Office, Spa and E-commerce
2 years of experience in the marketing, community management or related professional area.
Knowledge and understanding of Hotel management.
Fluent English both oral and written is essential.
Fluent Arabic both oral and written is desirable but not essential.
Marriott experience is desirable but not essential.
Oral Comprehension - The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
Writing - Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience of each social media channel.
Sales and Marketing - Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
Advanced Computer / Social Media Skills - Must be able to demonstrate a strong knowledge and practicality of technology and its’ up to the moment application.
Video Editing Skills - Understanding of or experience with digital video, social photography and online music curation.
Social Media Knowledge - Advanced skills with social media and community management applications and analysis tools.
Personal Skills - Determined, tenacious, like to experiment, thinking out of the box is a must
Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction on social media platforms.
Originality - The ability to create original and unique graphics, content and copy for distribution on all Social Channels - Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube etc.
Graphic Design - Graphic layout skills, knowledge of Adobe Photoshop would be an added advantage.
Photography – Should be able to operate DSLR and GoPro cameras.
Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, including the creation of a monthly Social Media Calendar, tracking and analysis reports.
Diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent
Advanced skills with social media management.
Knowledge of online competitor landscape in Dubai.
Knowledge of Social Media best practices by local and International brands.
The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:
Creates and maintain a content editorial calendar that aggregates the activity of the different areas of the hotel with creativity.
Searches for and creates content that is relevant for all social channels outside of the hotel, including city wide events, internal events, seminars and workshops and adapts messaging based on the social community and the channels tone of voice.
Regular interaction with Restaurant Managers and other Stakeholders for consolidated content and obtain interesting and out of the box information and imagery.
Regular interaction with the social community as assigned by the Social Media Manager.
Executes social media campaigns, events and day-to-day activities. Duties include online advocacy, writing editorial, community-outreach efforts and promotions.
Reporting to the Social Media Manager to make sure that all tasks and expected communications are in line with Marriott standards.
In collaboration with the Social Media Manager, monitor trends/memes/influencers in social media content, particularly for teen audiences (Vine, Snapchat, and Periscope etc.)
Maintain weekly and monthly analysis reporting of each channel, campaign tracking to evaluate ROI.
