MAIN JOB OBJECTIVE

The Director of Operations Financial Planning &Analysis (FP&A) is the primary finance business partner tofresh’sGlobal Operations team and is responsible for all financial analysis, reporting and monitoring of results for the product development, production, planning and distribution of the brand. A key role in driving strategic investment decision-making forfresh’sGlobal Operations, the Director of Operations FP&A will maneuver seamlessly between big picture and strategic thinking, operational problem solving and detailed analytics. Leading, developing and guiding a team of two FP&A Managers, the Director will contribute to and continue to evolve, implement and enforce company policies and procedures.

Profil

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the detailed financial planning, reporting, and analysis of Fresh Operations (from product development to production, planning and distribution), providing in-depth analysis to the VP of Operations and Finance leadership team
  • Responsible for all monthly, quarterly and annual financial analysis of actuals vs budget/forecast: this includes production variance analysis, working capital reviews including inventory provision, freight costs analysis, capital expenditures and other analysis to support the Operations team members in managing the business
  • Product cost: fix new standards annually and execute annual Standard Cost revaluation, analyze purchase price changes and drive savings/efficiencies; define new product development cost in line with Global brand strategy and Gross Margin target. Review and approve all existing items and BOM cost changes. Develop analysis of actual and forecast sampling/gift program inventory flows, costs and unit volumes
  • Inventory management: work with global supply chain to analyze and forecast inventory and understand its impact on working capital targets, monthly purchase price variance and inventory adjustment analysis, monthly IAS38 purchases/material flows details and challenge operations team on fluctuations over prior month and prior year, analyze quarterly inventory obsolescence and challenge provision for reserve
  • Engage in monthly S&OP process to establish production needs based on markets’ sales forecasts and absorption forecast
  • Review operational/departmental expenses and facilitate discussions on fluctuations against budget and prior year with Operations team
  • Accounting: support monthly closing process, oversee month-end close entries/reconciliations related to inventory and cost of goods
  • Partner with Operations Team to provide relevant data and insights to establish operational and financial goal alignment, lead performance reviews and recommend/drive actions to achieve operational targets
  • Assist the North America Shared Services team on an ad hoc basis on Billing, Accounts Payable, or other general ledger matters
  • Lead digitization of the function leveraging AX, Qlik, and technology lead initiatives to drive real time decision making
  • Interact with cross-functional teams that include Operations, Accounting, Consolidation & Reporting, Markets and Corporate FP&A, LVMH experts (tax advisors, etc.)
  • Participate in or lead global FP&A initiatives and other special projects/duties assigned, as necessary

  • Master all the technical specificities of the role and start bringing added value to Operations partners / recommending actions to drive efficiencies
  • Get to know your team and precise roles & responsibilities to bring them to the next level


What you will achieve in 12 months :

  • Good understanding of the innovation process / roadmap: define targets for new product development to align margin goals with product portfolio
  • Be a key partner in the decision-making process for production by challenging markets’ forecast, driving inventory level, optimizing obsolescence and distribution costs
  • Improve processes to drive efficiencies and lead new projects


Information additionnelle
  • 15+ years’ experience in Controlling, FP&A, or other relevant Finance roles with strong emphasis on data analysis and cost accounting
  • Degree in Business/Economics/Accounting/Finance is required; MBA is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of financial systems/tools such as AX Dynamics and Cognos is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, V-Look ups, macros…)
  • Extensive knowledge of and ability to build and adapt financial models.
  • Able to “zoom in and out” of details when needed whilst keeping the bigger picture in focus.
  • A highly analytical problem-solver, with a propensity for taking action.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with an emphasis on translating complex, nuanced, or detailed analysis into clear, actionable summaries or recommendations.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational skills/detail oriented
  • Proven experience in building strong relationships with business partners across functions and countries and driving even stronger outcomes.
  • Works well within a team as well as autonomously.
