Responsibilities:
- Perform general cleaning and every day maintenance of pools & beach area including emptying of trash cans and keeping the pool/beach area uncluttered and clean
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, tidiness and service of all outdoor landscaped areas; store cleaning equipment in its proper place
- Perform various limited maintenance duties as per guidelines to maintain a clean and safe pools/beach facility
- Carry and set up tables/chairs/cabanas/umbrellas for guests and usher guests to vacant chairs and table
- Must have attention to detail and be able to arrange items, move furniture and equipment in and out of the pools/beach area as per standards
- Manage availability, refill, and maintenance of guest towels and ensure that all the soiled towels are removed from the guest areas and placed neatly in trolleys
- Oversee the opening and closing of the pool/beach area
- Act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of all guests in the event of emergency
- Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times and maintain a high standard of guest service
- Follow all department guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures and training standards regarding Guest safety
- Report to the Supervisor of any unusual incidents, complaints, missing or damage hotel properties and lost & found items
- Should be aware of and adhere to the lost and found procedure at all times
- To know hotels policy relating to fire, hygiene, health and safety
- Participate in any scheduled training and development programs
- Provide a friendly courteous and professional service at all times and conduct all duties and responsibilities as required by the position or assigned by the Recreation Supervisor
- Courteously interact and answer all spa & wellness and hotel related questions with guests
- Proactively assist in the smooth flow of the guests’ journey throughout the day
- Work days/evenings and/or holidays in water, in extreme temperatures, outside, year-round
Education & Certificates
- Senior School qualification or equivalent is a must
Experience
- Previous Guest service experience
- Previous experience working in a 5-star hotel environment will be an advantage
- Previous experience working in the Middle East Region is an advantage
Skills
- Clear communication; effective verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to understand guest needs and expectations and to deliver superior customer service with little input from others
- Mature and outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal skills
