About the Role
The Central Planning Analytics Manager role exists to ensure that the Resort is efficiently resourced at all times, across all departments, in line with visitor numbers and available staffing, to deliver a world class guest experience. This role will be responsible for leading the entire Resort Operations workforce. Additionally, this role will focus on process improvement activities to ensure resort processes are adding value to guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the Resort is resourced to departmental unit requirements based on line schedules, budgets and ongoing data analysis of guest flow.
  • Partner to develop and maintain clear SOPs for daily interaction between Central Planning & Resource department and departments/duty roles on resort.
  • Ensure scheduling maximizes staff utilization to optimize the number of unique individual employees required to meet departmental unit needs and maximize retention.
  • Deliver the tools to support a guest journey focused resort experience, as measured by all available metrics and lead the central planning team to optimize labor management and improve commercial RPC.
  • Develop a scorecard consisting of concise objectives and report out weekly and monthly to track success and afford opportunity to course correct.
  • Tactical management of the entire Central Planning & Resource Department including ability to speak to every facet of departmental responsibilities
  • Complete a black belt qualification on Lean Six Sigma and leverage external mentoring opportunities to apply learning in a resort setting.
  • Support HR recruitment process ensuring resource requirements are provided on a timely basis
  • Provide regular communication (at least Weekly) to the Operational Heads of/Directors to ensure resource needs are being adequately met and brainstorm solutions as required
  • Deliver detailed analysis of budgeted vs Time Scheduled/Time worked including Hours and cost by location on a weekly basis to the SLT.
  • Collaborate with Heads of operations to determine operational efficiency and guest service enhancements, facilitate discussion to reach consensus and communicate recommendations to SLT.
  • Partner with the departments to optimize resource planning requirements for revenue, cost and guest experience
  • Focus on team engagement to improve WWTK scores on employee satisfaction, understanding of job and responsibility, teamwork and working environment
  • Change Agent/Solution Leader behind processes from Start to Finish (hiring, onboarding, training/multi-skilling, scheduling, management of hours/costs)
  • Act as a role model for the Merlin values as part of the operational leadership team
  • Act as a conduit for Merlin digital on process improvements that require technology changes.   Take advantage of latest advancements from Merlin Digital such as RPA and power platforms to see if resort can take advantage of such technologies to improve processes


About You

  • Strong analytical background using data to make decision and communicate them effectively.
  • Understanding of hospitality environments and roles within operation, food & beverage and retail.
  • Ability to utilize sound judgment, discretion and maintain confidentiality is mandatory.
  • Requires demonstrated skill in interpersonal relationships, facilitation and presentations, negotiations, and verbal and written communication.
  • Must be able to present a professional image to internal and external contacts and build relationships with internal team members.
  • Strong leadership skills in a supervisory or management role.
  • Requires strong organizational, follow-up, project management and process improvement skills.
  • Must be able and willing to work at both strategic and hands-on levels.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Products is required.  DayForce and Cornerstone experience are advantageous.


Education
BA or AA Degree required
