Job Description: OVERVIEW/BASIC FUNCTION:
Responsible for the marketing effort of the hotel in achieving goals set for transient and leisure market segments. Develop, implement and lead a staff with on-going strategies of property exposure and market share increase. Assist in the marketing coordination as it relates to the food & beverage divisions of the property.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Meet overall revenue objectives for Rooms, Food and Beverage and Spa sales.
Develop a strategic action plan to effectively solicit and gain market share in Transient Corporate/Leisure and Group markets.
Develop and execute a strategic plan to meet Spa sales and Spa positioning objectives.
Develop and execute a strategic plan to secure food and beverage and event sales.
Manage Regional and National Public Relations initiatives.
Develop and execute an annual Marketing and Expense plan, meeting predetermined expectations.
Manage advertising plans.
Work with various Rosewood Hotels & Resorts internal teams to efficiently maximize all channels and opportunities to succeed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: Minimum eight years' experience in the hospitality industry for a luxury or ultra-luxury company. Minimum three years' experience as a Director of Sales and/or Marketing for a luxury or ultra-luxury property.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Business, Sales, Marketing or a relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
General Skills: Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy' prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest's service needs' work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
