Job Description: JOB OVERVIEW: To create a memorable culinary experience for our guests in the privacy of their room.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Meet and exceed guest and staff expectations by providing quality in the service and the product.
Provide value-added service to guests by doing whatever is reasonable and possible to meet or exceed customer expectations
Communicate effectively with guests, staff and supervisors Demonstrate teamwork by cooperating and assisting staff as needed
Handle difficult situations effectively
In all situations demonstrate character, courtesy, calm and charm
Maintain good relations with fellow staff members and supervisors
Ensure that all Human Resource procedures are followed and that paperwork is timely and complete
To understand and follow the counsel provided by Human Resource Laws as explained during the training sessions
Food & Beverage Law & Education
Ensure that all laws and health requirements as explained during training are followed
Comply with Alcohol Beverage Control guidelines
Ensure compliance with all safety and health requirements of company, state and federal regulations
Menus:
Responsible for full knowledge of breakfast, lunch and dinner menus
Responsible for extensive knowledge of the wine list
Show commitment to continuous education of menus and wine lists
Outlet Responsibilities:
Responsible for performing all side-work duties
Responsible for following proper food and beverage service procedures
Responsible for set-up of food and beverage orders and equipment
Responsible for delivery of food and beverage orders and amenities
Responsible for collecting payment or an authorized signature
Responsible for collecting soiled china, glasses, silverware and linens
Food & Beverage Service:
Adhere to service standards and additional information provided during orientation and training sessions
Show willingness to serve and assist guest and fellow staff members at all times
Participate in continual food and beverage educations programs
Job Requirements: Essential: At least 1 year fine dining restaurant-serving experience. Excellent communication skills. Well organized, self-motivated, team oriented and have a strong desire to succeed. Basic computer skills.
General Skills: Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
Language: Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting up to 50 pounds, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding.
