This upscale resort is 5 miles from downtown Scottsdale. Featuring a lift, a gift store and a barber shop, The Scottsdale Resort At Mccormick Ranch is an intimate establishment dating back to 1976. Overlooking the Salt River, the venue features a heated outdoor pool, a patio and a ballroom. Set in the heart of Scottsdale, the hotel offers quick access to Camelback Park. It takes a 10-minute ride to get to Butterfly Wonderland. Mountains and a botanical garden are also close to the property.
Description of the Location:
Scottsdale is a desert city in Arizona east of state capital Phoenix. It's known for its spa resorts and golf courses, including TPC Scottsdale. Farther north, trails wind through McDowell Sonoran Preserve, a desertscape of hills, rock formations and cacti. Nearby is Taliesin West, architect Frank Lloyd Wright’s former home and studio. Downtown's Old Town Scottsdale has 1920s buildings and 19th-century olive trees.
Description of the Training:
Gain invaluable skills and knowledge in the Food and Beverage department of a world-leading luxury hotel/resort through a J-1 program at the The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch. During your program, you will receive training and mentorship from industry leaders in the F&B field as you rotate through different outlets on the property. This rotational program is designed to give you exposure to the international hospitality industry and give you the experience to excel in your career when you return to your home country.
Description of the Position:
Train in all areas of Food & Beverage Department, including, but not limited to, Front of House Operations, Banquet Operations, Supervisory Development:
• Learn to ensure high quality and consistency of service as per Hotel’s standards;
• Welcome guests and colleagues in a polite and friendly manner;
• Train with professionals across multiple outlets to perform tasks as needed;
• Ensure compliance of all Hotel's standards;
• Learn to strive to achieve departmental targets;
• Ensure cleanliness of work areas;
• During training, ensure to be in compliance with all Hotel's health and safety policies;
• Perform all other reasonable duties as needed.
