The Service Transition manager is responsible for strategizing, implementing and managing the Technology Provisioning process as well as other ‘like’ processes such as server decommission, disposal, repurpose, upgrade, etc for DTSS. This position will be responsible for oversight of the execution of the processes and procedures as well as be the single point of contact for the escalation of questions, concerns and issues. Responsibilities include; participating in architecture reviews and standards documentation, oversight to the development of project milestones and timelines, change management and validation of artifacts in preparation for operational support/sustainment (Operational Procedures, Catalog, integration into a lifecycle asset program and KPIs). The Service Transition Manager will have direct reports/Service Transition Analysts that in support of their assigned Disney Segment, will review and validate Service Design Package completeness and signoffs, manage the workflow of the processes, and escalate those issues that impact transition schedules.
This manager position is responsible for the management of the DTSS Technology provisioning process and procedures workflow. Management responsibilities include:
  • Develop, socialize and implement process and procedures, concepts and guidelines
  • Ensure that process, procedures, and associated handoff/deliverable and communication between the workflow towers are properly executed
  • Provide guidance and oversight to staff in coordinating all infrastructure Provisioning operational activities between the Disney support teams and Suppliers.
  • Continuous improvement of Provisioning process and procedures
  • Collaborate with Corporate/DTSS teams to determine what technologies must have current contract agreements, quoted and tracked.
  • Liaison between internal customers and external suppliers
  • Provide input into the mapping of all new technologies to technology categories and versions (Canonical Mapping)
  • Drive Provisioning for infrastructure and operations
  • Resolve Provisioning operational issues
  • Utilize standards in place within SAP to have requests transitioned into purchase orders by Disney Procurement

  • Oversee the coordination of Provisioning/procurement end to end process improvement
  • Look for opportunities to Improve management of Supplier relationships
  • Partner with Strategic Sourcing and Procurement
  • Meet with Legal to review agreements and amendments to ensure proper agreements are in place
  • Develop and host Provisioning communication/Roadshows
  • Host meetings with Provisioning coordinator/analysts and suppliers.
  • Host and manage the DRCM Change Advisory Board meetings

Basic Qualifications
  • 5 years large scale Project Management
  • 5+ years experience in IT Procurement support
  • Working knowledge of Provisioning and Procurement industry standard processes
  • Business background
  • Demonstrated Project Management skills
  • Detail oriented for documentation of findings and gap analysis
  • Excellent Business Communications skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • ITILv3 Fundamentals
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10 years large scale Project Management
  • 10+ years experience in IT Procurement support
  • Working knowledge of Industry best practices of Provisioning and Procurement
  • Demonstrated Project Management skills
  • Detail oriented for documentation of findings and gap analysis
  • Knowledge of the overall requirements and best practices for Project Management
  • Excellent Business Communications skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • In-depth knowledge of Procurement Process Automation
  • Advanced Technical Presentation skills
  • Advanced Problem Determinations skills
  • Experience with SAP and Service Manager tool
  • MS degree in Information Technology, Computer Systems, or Business/Technical related field
Required Education
  • BS or BA degree in Information Technology, Computer Systems, or Business/Technical related field
