Description of the Property:
At Viceroy Snowmass, a year-round luxury ski resort near Aspen, mountain adventure meets modern sophistication. This beautiful ski resort sits in the heart of the Snowmass Base Village, right near downtown. Here in Colorado high country, you can do it all — from skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, and sleigh rides in the winter to hiking, mountain biking, fly-fishing, horseback riding, festivals and concerts in the summer.

Description of the Location:
Aspen Snowmass is a luxury winter resort complex located in Pitkin County in western Colorado in the United States. Owned and operated by the Aspen Skiing Company it comprises four skiing/snowboarding areas on four adjacent mountains in the vicinity of the towns of Aspen and Snowmass Village. The four areas collectively form one of the most famous winter resorts in the world and are annually the destination for visitors from all over the world. Snowmass is the largest of the four Aspen/Snowmass mountains, comprising 3,128 acres (1,266 ha). The mountain is most notable for its wide cruiser runs, family-friendly atmosphere, and extensive ski-in/ski-out lodging.

Description of the Training:
Gain invaluable skills and knowledge in the Food and Beverage department and Rooms Division of a world-leading luxury hotel/resort through a J-1 program at Viceroy Snowmass or step into the kitchen and learn from the best chefs in the American hospitality industry. Train in a diverse and multicultural environment, under the guidance and leadership of industry leaders in the guest services field as you rotate through different outlets on the property. This rotational program is designed to give you exposure to the international hospitality industry and give you the experience to excel in your career when you return to your home country.

Description of the Position:
Train in all areas of Culinary/ Food & Beverage and Rooms Division, including, but not limited to: Banquets, Pastry and Outlet kitchens/ Front of House Operations, Banquet Operations, Supervisory Development, Front Desk Reception, Butler Service:
• Learn to ensure high quality and consistency of service as per Hotel’s standards;
• Welcome guests and colleagues in a polite and friendly manner;
• Train with professionals across multiple outlets to perform tasks as needed;
• Ensure compliance of all Hotel's standards;
• Learn to strive to achieve departmental targets;
• Ensure cleanliness of work areas;
• During training, ensure to be in compliance with all Hotel's health and safety policies;
• Perform all other reasonable duties as needed.

Sobre ti

• Conversational English required;
• Must be a current student of a Hospitality or Tourism / Culinary Arts post-secondary academic institution;
• Or recent graduate (less than 12 months ago) of a Hospitality or Tourism / Culinary Arts post-secondary academic institution;
• Or a graduate of a Hospitality or Tourism / Culinary Arts post-secondary academic institution (more than 12 months ago,) with 12 months of verifiable related work experience;
• Or must have 5 years of verifiable related work experience.

• Positive attitude;
• Good communication skills;
• Commitment to delivering high levels of customer service;
• A polished and professional appearance and compliance with Hotel grooming standards;
• Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations;
• Ability to work calmly while meeting deadlines.
