Responsible for operating and capital planning, quarterly forecasts, annual operating plans and five-year plans, consolidation of segment/business unit operating performance, direct finance support of corporate departments

This role is also responsible for the licensee audits to ensure the licensees are reporting and paying the correct royalties to the company and follow the requirements of the license agreements
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the financial review and presentation of forecasts, annual operating plan, five-year plans to Walt Disney International management in Burbank
  • Function as primary point of contact for client stakeholders and to support the various corporate functions in WDI China
  • Responsible for helping prepare business updates to various management teams outside of China
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to provide business consultation and financial guidance to facilitate decision making processes
  • Oversee the development of commentary/cause of change explanations for management reports. Provide insight and business analysis for executive leadership
  • Lead continuous process improvement and provide oversight and guidance on implementing new initiatives
  • Manage the communication and relationship among other finance teams in order to understand and identify key trends within the businesses in Greater China
  • Update senior management by coordinating and preparing regular KPI dashboard reports
  • Manage and motivate a team of professionals both in finance and audit
Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in finance
  • Management experience leading multiple teams
  • Solid foundation in financial analysis activities and processes is a must
  • Strong quantitative analytical skills combined with solid business and financial acumen
  • Strong relationship management and client service orientation
  • Ability to interact and partner with all levels of management and stakeholders, and senior management team
  • Ability to provide a consultative approach with clients helping to drive business and financial decisions.
  • Ability to identify issues, generate and evaluate alternatives and implement solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to translate financial information to various business audiences to drive decision making
  • Flexibility and ability to anticipate change and respond to client needs and priorities with agility
  • Demonstrate track record of process improvements and implementation of best practices
  • Knowledge of financial processes and financial systems, including SAP. Cognos/TM1 experience is a plus
  • Basic understanding of GAAP accounting, Tax and Audit principles
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or related/quantitative field of study required
  • MBA a must
Preferred Qualifications
  • General knowledge of project management and change management
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English,
  • Fluency in Mandarin a plus
  • Ability to counsel and develop staff
  • Proven record of staff retention and succession planning
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and implement projects or process improvement initiatives
  • Ability to negotiate with licensees on audit findings settlement
  • Cultural sensitivity
  • Patient and persistent approach to understanding others
