The Technology Vendor Solutions team’s responsibilities are focused on partnering with the Technology Business Units.  We are responsible for the execution and management of  IT vendor contracts, performance, relationship, and risk management.

The Technology Vendor Solutions Lead will support the Sr. Director of Technology Vendor Solutions to ensure that SaaS products and services are purchased at the most competitive cost and in a time-efficient manner while ensuring that records of these transactions are accurately validated and recorded in our SAM platform.  Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of renewal notices to SaaS vendors.

This is a highly visible and important role in the long term technology strategy of the business. The ideal candidate will have high customer and business impact experience through the management of vendor contracts and relationships. This role will participate in strategic business conversations to understand the technology needs in the enterprise application portfolio. 

Collaboration with finance, legal and business stakeholders is necessary to succeed in this role.  Strong project management, analytics, and communication skills are also key.  Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills are required.  This person will also be responsible for managing and tracking P2P activities related to engagements with our SaaS vendor portfolio.  

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Technology Vendor Solutions team with the analysis, contract management, bid, and renewal processes for all SaaS vendors.

  • Play a part in the maintenance/enhancement of tools for use in vendor management, including vendor tracking, analytics, and performance management tools (scorecards and dashboards).

  • Maintain an inventory of vendors spend in collaboration with other areas, such as finance and procurement by category (software, hardware, telecom, staff augmentation, services), cost center, and region.

  • Negotiate contracts, renewals, and manage vendor performance. 

  • Investigate alternative solutions and understand internal requirements and usage for software and services.  

  • Help manage strategy for vendor consolidation for assigned platforms.  Understand the impact of such strategies as it relates to contractual commitments and internal requirements and dependencies.

  • Assist in the evaluation of supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models to maximize negotiating leverage.

  • Collaborate with technology, finance, legal, and business stakeholders to plan and execute against cross-company goals and objectives.

  • Direct and schedule quarterly business reviews between vendors and internal stakeholders.

  • Create, submit, and manage requisition processes for SaaS related expenditures, as needed.

  • Help research and expedite invoice requests and investigate discrepancies. 



Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience required, MBA preferred

  • CPSM/CPSD or SPSM Certification

  • 5-7+ years experience in a Global Procurement or Strategic Sourcing function related technology acquisition

  • Experience in building category strategy and management plans, sourcing strategy, and savings methodology

  • Proficient in G-suite, Workday, Zoom, Slack

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and analytical skills
