Summary of the role:

Are you the next IT Account Manager we are looking for?

You will fulfill a critical role in growth and retention strategy of our NORAM market.

You will apply IT consultative sales, sales delivery, and optimization of processes with the assigned accounts portfolio.

You will be responsible for a twofold: a) for existing customers, retention & growth by maximizing the Amadeus share of wallet (GDS and IT) via identifying customer needs that can be matched with our Amadeus products & solutions, which can naturally become entry-barriers for competitors while also ensuring customer satisfaction through outstanding delivery plus on-going support; b) for prospects, provide consultative support, targeting their business model and needs with specific products and solutions that highlight the value that Amadeus brings and how the prospect can become more successful once they become a customer.

You will be accountable for the day-to-day IT account management of his/her customers. These activities encompass customer technology landscape understanding and vision, solution requirement gathering, customer senior level strategic plus operational and IT decision makers relationship building.

You will work in team with the Account Manager (AMs) who remains in charge of the commercial and contractual relationship overall with the customer. They build and execute the account development plan.

You will be responsible for coordinating plans for a successful migration of new clients and coordinate related activities to solutions migrations according to business needs.

You will coordinate all performance optimization activities (i.e., task forces) to maximize the Amadeus GDS market share with the customer.

In this role you’ll:

Technology Partnership Management: responsible for supporting the Account Managers to establish deep technology partnerships at the executive level with key customer (CIO, COO).

IT cross selling & up selling: Identify and qualify new business opportunities, cross selling & up selling targets including new product & solution lines as well as additional services & consulting requirements

Own, lead and coordinate delivery team’s engagement and participation in customer’s delivery and key implementation project meetings. Work closely with Customer Solutions and Delivery team to design and propose customer’s specific solutions.

Process Optimization Reviews: establishing a full & detailed understanding of the key account business processes, their IT landscape and identify areas where improvements can be introduced with our 1A products or solutions. This is to be done by leading periodic productivity IT & process reviews.

Solution Feedback & Evolution: work closely with his/her team to provide feedback and recommendations to Solution Management for the future evolution of the business solutions product & service portfolio

Work closely with the Sales Engineers to design and propose customer’s specific solutions

Support the operational teams in a collaborative manner, by providing insights or knowledge related to the situations encountered.

Responsible to monitor products & services utilization from our customers to ensure adoption plus utilization are at maximum levels.

Define and measure a set of Key Performance Indicators (including Return of Investment) to demonstrate to customers the value they are obtaining from our Amadeus products & services.

Responsible to meet established recurrent and new IT revenue targets.

Support our Sales Directors to maximize the opportunities to convert prospects into full 1Acustomers. The ITAM will understand the prospect's operational environment, their needs and target the demonstration of specific products or solutions that fulfill those needs.

About the ideal candidate:

Education: University degree - IT Engineering/Computer Science degree or Business degree with IT component or equivalent experience

Experience in IT Consultative selling, project management, requirements gathering and solutions design

On-the-job sales / communication skills training an asset

Fluent in English (spoken and written) is mandatory. Other languages are a plus (Spanish, French)

Relevant Work Experience:10 to 15 years in customer relationship

Software & IT, Services, Travel Technology, project management or consulting domains

Technical pre-sales consultancy experience appreciated

Business Understanding: Strong knowledge of the travel industry or working experience in a Consulting company as pre-sales consultant required.

Strong sales delivery experience.

Adaptability to high-tech industry and practices.

Strong presentation skills.

Skills: Computing: Strong business skills in a sophisticated customer environment.

The role requires the ability to defend the commercial interests of Amadeus while at the same time building long-term value-driven IT and Distribution partnerships with customers.

Languages: English (other languages are a plus - Spanish, French)
