The Head Mixologist oversees the Bar Operations and other and other bartenders’ work to ensure that they provide the best guest experience.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and duties for this position shall include, but are not limited to, the following areas and activities. At management discretion, direction may be given for tasks outside the scope of work described.

  • In charge of overall daily bar functions.
  • Overseeing the bartender’s performance and schedules.
  • Make sure standards and procedures, and Hotel policies are correctly applied.
  • Identify candidates with the potential to become passionate mixologists.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to support continuous improvement.
  • Ensures that the bar area is kept clean and organized, maintaining all sanitary standards of the business and local food and beverage laws.
  • Make sure that all material and equipment made available to the Bar is correctly used and participate in inventory taking.
  • Make sure that all rules concerning orders, billing and collection are respected.
  • To provide excellent customer service by ensuring that the bars run in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Enhance creativity and innovation in the team
  • Create signature cocktail drinks and drive cocktail menu changes to ensure fresh, innovative and seasonal cocktails are available on the menu.
  • Assist with beverage procurement and beverage costing.
  • To be aware and to ensure product quality range and to ensure that stock are adequate upon starting shift.
  • Train bartenders and service team to ensure beverage knowledge and service levels are to standard. Also to train the team in the new trends in mixology on a regular basis.
  • To be familiar with basic wine cellar procedure.
  • To oversee food production and food service within the outlet along with the Asian Restaurant.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by Management




  • Professional Diploma in Bartending or equivalent
  • Additional training or certificates in Mixology


  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in hotel industry.
  • Proven experience working in a luxury resorts will be an advantage.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience on a similar position is a plus

Other skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of alcohol and cocktail of all types
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong task and time management abilities
  • Be up to date with the latest trends in mixology.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc for extended periods
  • Outstanding multitasking skills
  • Knowledge of food hygiene.
  • Fluency in English/French, both written and verbal. Knowledge of a third language is a plus
