Key Activities

Business Development and Prospecting:

  • Identify and target customers from assigned market that will generate business on behalf of hotel
  • Negotiate, draft, generate and confirm/sign contracts that ensure hotel budget and revenue targets are achieved.
  • Use company wide programs, sales developments, prospecting projects, WSO customer events, arrival reports, TravelClick, Opera business intelligence, etc to solicit and secure business for assigned segment. 
  • Impact corporate sales production to ensure maximum account penetration.
  • Prioritizing & Time Management: Prioritize active selling, solicitation and business development as core job function.
  • Protect the Golden-Selling Hours. Allocate time and resources as appropriate for account potential.


Destination Communications

  • Work with the PR Director on generating local awareness; and assist in the development of all in-house marketing initiatives as well as the development and execution of the annual public relations plan. 
  • Assist in the creation of innovative resort programming that will increase awareness and positive perception of the resort, its spa, culinary programs, services, and personnel.  Programs should address specific needs as outlined in the marketing plan and capitalize on unexpected opportunities as they arise. 
  • Assist in the development and execution of an annual Food & Beverage Marketing plan, based on guidelines given in the annual plan instructions, including a PR roadmap, segment strategies, and key PR initiatives.
  • Serve as a sophisticated and vocal member of leadership on decisions surrounding concepting and selections of offerings
  • Serve as a tastemaker for the Resort’s client facing food & beverage and activity programming and offerings.
  • Work closely with the F&B and Spa teams to develop promotional and marketing activities and calendars to stimulate and capture revenue opportunities.
  • Offer a keen eye for detail and a strong appreciation of creative aesthetics through a luxury lens.
  • Participate in concept development, concept enhancements and innovations for restaurants and bars.
  • Demonstrate leadership and visibility within the Hotel for employee relations and community relations activities.


Product Knowledge and Training:

  • Maintain thorough and complete product knowledge of resort and offerings including F&B, Spa and recreation.  Possess an in-depth understanding of comp set’s Features/Advantages/Benefits.
  • Maintain a good understanding of the Hotel’s Revenue Management strategy and seasonality/citywide pressures that impact business conditions.
  • Independently perform customer site inspections to uncover needs and present solutions that will maximize booking opportunity and create strong customer relationships.
  • Demonstrate curiosity and continuous learning related to the market, competitive landscape and selling skills
  • Develop keen eye for on-property needs (activations and events) and foster strong relations with residential owners to solicit lifestyle activation feedback


Communication Effectiveness:

  • Write clear and effective correspondence with the highest degree of professionalism.
  • Contact customers in-house and residential owners to promote resort activations and events and foster additional business or repeat business.


Administration:

  • Establish and maintain strong Golden Sales & Catering hygiene including account creation, account traces, contact information, client email lists, bookings, etc. in accordance with Four Seasons standards.
  • Utilize Golden Sales & Catering to detail events and activations for operations team
  • Understand and maximize the utilization of all automated sales and reservations systems (Opera) involved with corporate or travel industry business.
