Our Finance team serves as a critical business partner responsible for managing all global activities related to financial performance, accounting, tax, forecasting, risk management, and asset management.

What will I be doing?

The Marketing Finance team provides financial support to the Marketing and Loyalty organization. Responsibilities include Financial Planning & Analysis, Financial Controls and Stewardship, Annual Budgeting and Planning, and Commercial Financial Support.

The Analyst, Marketing & Loyalty Finance will report to the Manager, Honors Finance, and will complete financial reporting and analysis. In this role, you will support both Marketing and Loyalty business partners by carrying out monthly and annual budgeting and forecasting responsibilities, preparing and analyzing financial reports, and performing business analyses to help optimize and manage costs.

More specifically, you will:

  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial performance reports, identify key trends, prepare variance explanations
  • Assist with developing and maintaining monthly forecasts in Hyperion
  • Use PeopleSoft, Hyperion, and Excel to maintain and build forecast models for accurate and rapid financial forecasts
  • Assist in the production of Monthly Business Reviews, providing insights into any budget/forecast variances
  • Play key role throughout the annual budget process, build relationships with key business partners
  • Support business partners with cross charges, invoice queries, expense reports, etc) - provide feedback on the status
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, AP, and external suppliers to ensure invoices are paid accurately and on time
  • Be key finance support for marketing teams by producing analytic reports, tracking expenses, and answering queries related to invoice timing and payment status
  • Provide additional support to the GBCS reporting team as needed

  • Strong financial analysis skills; ability to analyze financial data to identify trends and issues, draw conclusions, and make recommendations with meticulous attention to detail and timelines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to effectively address any issue in collaboration with others as appropriate; ability to proactively identify and prevent potential problems
  • Ability to work well under pressure and effectively handle multiple, concurrent demands and appropriately prioritize responsibilities
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage details through to completion and ensure project deadlines, are met
  • Excellent financial modeling skills, including the ability to build dynamic forecasting models with multiple input sources
  • Demonstrate general accounting knowledge, specifically around accrual, cost allocation, amortization

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • One (1) year of overall work experience
  • One (1) year of analytical experience within a financial function
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint to build clear and concise presentations

It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
  • Three (3) years of overall work experience
  • Proficiency with Oracle Smart View and/or Hyperion Essbase
  • Experience working with and/or familiarity with data, analytics, and/or other commercial performance areas
