We are looking to hire a Maintenance Engineer for The Porter Hotel. Illuminating the heart of Downtown with sophisticated luxury and modern comforts, The Porter strives to show the best Portland has to offer. Surrounded by the finest performing arts centers in the city we provide a unique experience for anyone who wishes to sample Portland's One-of-a-kind Culture.
As one of the city's newest hotels we provide nearly 300 stylish rooms and 10,000 square feet of immaculate indoor and outdoor event space. Our 4 food and beverage outlets along with our pool and wellness floor make The Porter a destination in itself. The Elegant furnishings and state of the art design require a keen eye to uphold our standard of excellence.
You will perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as painting, preventative maintenance, landscaping etc. In addition to improving the building you will also respond to guest requests to ensure a positive experience throughout their stay at the Porter.

You will perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as painting, preventative maintenance, landscaping etc. In addition to improving the building you will also respond to guest requests to ensure a positive experience throughout their stay at the Porter.
Job Duties
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of all hotel equipment, including kitchen, laundry, boiler, plumbing, pool, HVAC, electrical and guest rooms.
- Respond to guest requests at the direction of the front desk.
- Proactively monitor the condition of the hotel.
- Keep meticulous records of work requests and service.
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment for all areas of the hotel.
Qualifications:
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
- General building maintenance
- Fantastic customer service
- Hotel experience preferred (but not required)
- High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus
- Swimming pool knowledge helpful
