The Pool Operations Manager will have operational and financial responsibility for the entire Pool Operation in the Food & Beverage Department. He/She will be overseeing their overall organization, insuring respect and execution of company standards.

 

Organizational Structure

 

The Pool Operations Manager will report directly to the Director of Food and Beverage.

 

Duties and Supporting Responsibilities

 

  • Provide leadership and support for Assistant Managers, Supervisors, Bartenders, Servers and Pool attendants.
  • Train, develop, evaluate and schedule Assistant Managers, Supervisors, Bartenders, Servers, Hostesses and Pool attendants.
  • Performs administrative duties such as, scheduling, payroll, labor management and inventory control
  • Responsible for the recruitment and selection of new team members
  • Provide excellent service at all time to all of our guests
  • Assist guests courteously and efficiently
  • Manages day to day Pool operations
  • Supervise and maintain the cleanliness of the Pool area including Cabanas and Pool deck.
  • Chair monthly departmental team member meeting
  • Conduct daily communication meeting with staff prior to shift
  • Accountable for the performance management of team members, including property evaluation cycle and coaching program
  • Uphold and enforce all hotel policies and procedures as stated in hotel team member handbook and reviewed during new hire departmental checklist process
  • Communicate all group information/changes to appropriate hotel team members in an accurate and timely manner
  • Entertain clients/Vendors, as appropriate
  • Coordinate all aspects of service to include but not limited to:
    • Food and beverage requirements
    • Timing of events
    • Special attention guests
    • Table setup
    • Special requests
    • Complimentary desserts, drinks, etc.
    • Billing instructions
    • Authorized signatures

Requirements

  • CPR Certified

Mandatory

  • A minimum of 5 years progressive Management experience in a luxury hotel environment, overseeing multiple outlets
  • At least a year of managing a luxury or high end bar operation
  • Skilled in organizing resources and establishing multiple priorities
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently handle multiple, simultaneous, and complex tasks and projects
  • Knowledge of office management and administrative principles and procedures, i.e. Creating sales reports, analyzing profit & loss statements 
  • Knowledge of industry standards, products, and procedures
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Proficient Forecasting, budgeting and labor management
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • High level of logical, organizational, and accuracy skills
  • Ability to effectively speak and write in the English language
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule and holidays
  • Be a self-starter and ability to positively lead a team effectively
  • Have an in-depth knowledge of food and preparation
  • Be able to relate to all levels of guests and management
  • Be able to consistently delight and satisfy our guest
  • Have the ability to handle guest requests in a detailed manner
  • Must have excellent attention to details, and extensive service knowledge

 

Desirable

  • Multi-lingual
  • Preopening experience such as managing staffing levels, sourcing OS&E, training and Marketing
  • Bartending knowledge: craft cocktailing, fast pace cocktailing
