What will I be doing?

As a Concierge at Hilton Surfers Paradise - no two shifts will be the same as you work to deliver on our Guest Promise to deliver exceptional guest experiences to every guest, every time.  As a vital member of our Guest Services Team you will meet Guest needs upon arrival and departure and anticipate their needs of their stay to ensure a memorable stay at the Hotel for all the right reasons.

As a guest services professional at our Hotel & Residences you will also be responsible for the following:

  • Respond with urgency to guests’ requests and requests for information and assistance throughout the hotel – using your initiative to solve guests problem’s take ownership for the guests’ journey and surprise and delight our guests.
  • Deliver exceptional Service to our Guests – providing hotel and local knowledge, anecdotes, stories, information and creating personal connections with our guests throughout their stay.
  • Welcome Guests on arrival and assist them during their stay including assisting guests with their luggage, valet parking and enquiries to ensure a smooth arrival and the same upon departure.
  • Show guests to their rooms and explain the amenities of the Hotel, assist with their queries, remember their preferences and taking on board any feedback or information to anticipate their needs.
  • Maintain current information on all hotel services as well as external locations, attractions, and landmarks in the hotel vicinity and be able to assist across departments when required.
  • Support Social distancing throughout the public areas of the Hotel working to keep our guests and team members safe and comfortable.

What we are looking for?

A Concierge serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members to deliver on our Brand and Guest Promise.  To be successful in this role you will also have demonstrate the following:

  • A genuine flair for customer service – and ability to create connections with people from all walks of life. 
  • Previous experience working within the hotel, leisure, and/or retail sector is desirable – but should you not have this experience be ready to wow us with your customer service skills and personality!
  • Excellent personal presentation and well-groomed to meet the standards of a luxury hotel.
  • Strong communication skills and energetic and enthusiastic and able to learn new skills quickly.
  • An eye for detail – you know when something doesn’t look or feel right and take ownership to delight our guests.
  • Full Driver’s License required as well as a valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (QLD)
