Grand Kempinski Hotel Shanghai

Grand Kempinski Hotel Shanghai is centrally located in the Lujiazui financial and trade section of the prestigious Pudong district and offers sweeping views of the Huangpu River and the Shanghai skyline. Grand Kempinski Hotel Shanghai has 686 rooms and suites, 6 restaurants & bars as well as extensive banquet facilities for up to 720 guests. It also has an oversized indoor pool, Spa and state-of-the-art fitness center on the 30th floor with panoramic view. Within walking distance to the Oriental Pearl Tower and only a short drive away from The Bund, New International Expo Centre and luxurious shopping centres, the hotel is easy access to any well-known landmarks of Shanghai. The Pudong and Hongqiao international airports can also be reached within 45 minutes.

SCOPE

Responsible for achieving hotel targets by optimising revenues through an assigned account base, as well as prospecting new clients in assigned markets. Assigned markets may change according to hotel needs. The key measurement of performance will be performance versus the Revenue goals.

OVERALL OBJECTIVES

The job of Sales Manager  is executed satisfactorily when:

  1. Hotel achieves its Financial Objectives.
  1. Sales Team that the person works with achieves their Revenue Objectives.
  1. person achieves their Personal Objectives.
  1. TTTT is carried out to the satisfaction of both the Director of Sales / Director of Sales & Marketing.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. for key account management on an assigned account base or geographic area, ensuring revenue maximization, achievement of personal targets and increasing fair market share versus competitor set.
  1. for prospecting new accounts.
  1. for all segments of assigned geographical markets, which may include, but not be exclusively limited to European markets.
  1. site inspections.
  1. to the Corporate SOP’s.
  1. up of tentative bookings in the assigned markets.
  1. knowledge of competitor set.
  1. knowledge of all services provided by the Hotel and all relevant facts and figures of hotel.
  1. for timely contracting from the client base responsible for.
  1. contracting to ensure optimum yielding during annual rate negotiations.
  1. trade shows, sales blitz, workshops, etc. in the assigned markets.
  1.  the Director of Sales / Director of Sales & Marketing in defining an annual sales action plan and execute set actions accordingly.
  1. the Director of Sales / Director of Sales & Marketing with the preparation of the annual budget by providing statistics and forecasts of account productions.
  1. sales actions within set cost budget structure.
  1. all sales actions in SFA (S&C).
  1. OPERA contact database at all times.
  1. sell other Kempinski Hotels
  1. and follow the Company Sales Vision.
  1. in Duty Manager rota.
  1. and strictly adhere to the Rules & Regulations established in the Employees Handbook and the Hotel’s policy on Fire, Hygiene, Health & Safety.
  1. that all potential and real hazards are reported and rectified immediately.
