As a Universe Manager, you will take the ownership of a Universe, lead and coach a team of Managers and Client Advisors to drive the continued growth and success of your universe through strategic leadership,  cultivating a client-centric mindset focused on continuously elevating the level of service excellence and building highly motivated teams, developing them to the next level and securing succession plans.



ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Team management and team development

In addition to managing and developing a team of Client Advisors of your own, you will be responsible to

  • lead and develop a team of Managers to ensure their teams in turn deliver the Louis Vuitton Promise to every client and contribute to store targets and business priorities. Support them with consistent coaching and feedback, identify their development and training needs as well as those of their teams and tailor individual action plans accordingly.
  • build the strongest possible team by identifying, recruiting and developing internal and external talents as well as through strategic succession planning
  • organize the team in an efficient manner according to business needs to ensure the store is set up for success on a daily basis as well as for the long-term
  • set achievable yet challenging team and individual targets; assess, monitor and manage performance to ensure these goals are achieved
  • manage and motivate the team to inspire success: create a positive work environment, empower the team, encourage innovative solutions
  • onboard and coach new managers joining the brand into managing and developing their own teams following key brand priorities, collaborate with the country training and HR team on effective new joiner induction management
  • act as a role model for the rest of the team by showcasing the LV attitudes at all times yourself


Client and Business Development

In addition to managing and developing a clientele and business/category of your own, you will be responsible to

  • lead and grow the business of the wider store by supervising your managers and their teams to ensure strategic priorities and vision are understood and business, teams and clients are developed accordingly
  • maximize the potential of all product categories within the brand and store, capitalizing on all available support (VM, merchandising, supply chain, clienteling and events, third party stakeholders…) 
  • establish a client-centric mindset in store to ensure the highest level of client experience is delivered and collaborate strongly with the Client Development Manager on clienteling action plans to ensure clienteling objectives are met consistently across all teams
  • lead by example on the floor, ensure business opportunities are maximized through efficient sales floor management
  • provide consistent and qualitative feedback, coach the team on the spot and coach your managers on coaching their own teams


Store operations

In collaboration with the Store Director as well as the store Operations Manager, you will be responsible to

  • cultivate a culture of operational excellence throughout your own as well as the wider store team
  • maintain an effective store organization as related to staffing levels, daily and monthly rota planning, holiday and absence management as well as other administrative processes
  • effectively collaborate with all relevant head office departments, monitor store controllable expenses, supervise loss, asset protection and risk management and be accountable for the achievement of store operations KPIs


Profil
  • Several years of management experience in luxury retail or a strongly related field
  • Demonstrated understanding of the luxury industry and client experience
  • Successful track record in managing and developing larger teams in an international, multicultural setting, with the ability to lead, inspire and coach different kinds of profiles towards performance excellence on a team as well as individual level
  • Excellent business driving skills and a demonstrated ability to design, implement and drive action plans to develop strategic business priorities in a demanding and fast-paced environment
  • A strong passion for selling and client service as well as a strong dedication to driving and developing the team and business directly on the sales floor
  • 360 business vision, high level of ownership as well as a demonstrated understanding of operational excellence
  • Excellent people skills, strong sense of empathy, agility, curiosity and team spirit as well as a high level of resilience
  • Fluent English as well as strong German skills are a requirement, additional relevant languages a plus
