The Bartender/ F&B Waiter is to perform by being proactive, interactive and reactive allowing each member of our guests to be completely satisfied during their meal and bar experience. He/she will be an active participant for the beverage program. Although this position will work primarily with the restaurant and bar, he/she will also support the other food and beverage venues as well through the selection of various beverage and design of the beverage list that each outlet will utilize for service.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Helps to ensure that restaurant team have good knowledge of wine, liquor, cocktails, mocktails and beers
Controls on a daily basis the proper storage, aging rotation, and temperature of all stock in beverage storeroom and report any problems and malfunctions
Ensures all beverage equipment and wine lists are clean and updated with correct vintage and out of stock items
Checks and monitors the service operations (Main service bar and basic restaurant operations)
Communicates with the Purchasing Manager to ensure efficient ordering and stock levels under supervision of F&B Management
Performs any other reasonable duties as required by the Food & Beverage Supervisor and Assistant Food & Beverage Manager
Maintains accurate sales records of wines for analysis and incentive purposes
Engages in suggestive selling and up-selling
Helps to organize cocktail promotions
Supports company’s philosophy and company culture through the use of Legendary Quality Experiences on a daily basis to ensure Guest Satisfaction
Provides recommendations and prepares wine and creative cocktail choices for guests
Ensures that the bar run smoothly and efficiently
Performs all duties related to restaurant opening/closing check list
Performs any other reasonable duties as required by his / her Manager
Carries out daily, weekly and monthly inventory
Maintains cleanliness of bar countertop and assists with maintaining the cleanliness of all F&B venues
Ensures that hotel grooming and hygiene standards are being maintained, enhancing a professional image
Is aware of, and comply with, safe working practice and relevant Food Hygiene Standards
Educational level: Associates degree in hospitality or other related field preferred
Work experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position, preferably in luxury hotel/restaurant environment
Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English and Czech language.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks.
Must be a self-motivator and motivator of others.
Must work in a safe, prudent and organized manner.
Must be able to relate to all levels of Guests and management.
Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
Must be able to consistently delight and satisfy our Guest.
Must have excellent attention to details, and extensive service knowledge.
Must have in-depth knowledge of food and preparation.
Must have an advanced-level knowledge of wine.
Must have in-depth knowledge of beverage and bar related products.
Must have in-depth knowledge of laws related to beverage service..
Restaurant and or Retail experience that has involved selling of wine and guest relations.
