A key priority for Marriott International (MI) is to ensure MI’s brands continue to be recognized leaders in guest preference and to sustain a healthy pipeline for growth. MI must increase the penetration of hotels compliant with brand standards to continue to achieve its goals. The Senior Manager, PI Business Analytics, will have overall accountability for the delivery of key management reports and metrics, providing comparable analysis of business performance, insight to business results, trends and risk areas. The individual in this role will identify business challenges and opportunities and deliver recommended solutions on critical business issues for MI senior leaders. In addition, this role will interface, influence, and partner with a variety of disciplines including: Brand, Global Design, and Development.


Deliver Results

  • Prepare a variety of reports comparing operational results across properties and brands to focus attention on hotels/brands that fall short in key areas, analyze data and provide insights to drive improved results.
  • Provide analytics in such areas as: brand detractors, renovations, property improvement plans (PIPs), financial performance, compliance tracking, brand standard audit, guest satisfaction, to help target and drive improved business results.
  • Integrate data from several sources and provide analytics in such areas as: detractors, renovations, PIPs, financial performance, STAR, compliance tracking, brand standard audit, guest satisfaction, and development to help target and drive improved business results.
  • Maintain hotel data and make available to stakeholders utilizing various tools (i.e., Microsoft, Smartsheet, Alteryx)
  • Evaluate the implementation/performance results of key product related brand standards to drive accountability and optimize results.
  • Synthesize and integrate a large array of business performance data to support trend analysis and critical decision making for key stakeholders.

Managing Execution

  • Develop scalable, automated processes to facilitate on-going optimization and measurement performance model.
  • Proactively manage and coordinate process for MI, understanding leverage points and quantifying impact.
  • Produce brand and hotel level reporting which communicates results and influences senior leaders and other key stakeholders.
  • Manage initiative tracking tool to monitor compliance of important initiatives /key brand elements across all brands (e.g. GPOS, GPNS renovation), determine trends and communicate recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Conduct market based reporting and operations analysis and provide recommendations on findings, to include key stakeholders, including owner specific Ad hoc requests
  • Solicit and incorporates stakeholder feedback on a continual basis to impact results (Guest Satisfaction, RevPar, and RevPar Index, and Owner ROI).
  • Execute programs and processes for sharing of information to facilitate automation and improvement of renovation processes and management reporting.
  • Develop, create and maintain brand and Owner portfolio analysis. Analyze performance with actionable information for monthly distribution to US & Canada Franchise leaders and account leaders with trends and recommendations.

  • Minimum of five years of relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills - ability to present to large and executive level audiences.

  • Demonstrated strong analytical ability to evaluate measure and optimize end-to-end experience across multiple departments to provide insights and key learnings and recommendations to affiliated teams.
  • Proven results of translating complex analysis into actionable recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects and balancing priorities.
  • Knowledge of Marriott International’s business, strategies, and culture preferred.
  • Technical knowledge and skills to enhance business processes including Microsoft Software applications, particularly excel.
  • Ability to leverage resources in the accomplishment of objectives.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.  Effective in prioritizing work and following through on commitments. Project management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work with and communicate effectively with all levels of management
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external customers and influence decision making.

Education and Professional Certification

  • Bachelor degree or an equivalent highly preferred

California Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $93,713.00 to $204,107.00 annually.

Colorado Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $93,713.00 to $185,551.00 annually.

New York City & Westchester County, NY Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $113,393.00 to $204,107.00 annually.

Washington Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is $93,713.00 to $204,107.00 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus. Employees will accrue 0.4616 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 7 holidays annually.
