Location: Chessington World of Adventures, Surrey KT9 2NE

We are currently recruiting for an Asset Manager, reporting into the Head of Engineering.

About the Role

As an Asset manager you will be responsible for the introduction of Continuous Improvement methodology, such as Lean Six Sigma or other similar tools, to identify opportunities for improvement. In addition, you will manage detailed root cause analysis, on key process or asset failures, to drive ride availability, guest satisfaction, cost reduction and process efficiency.

Working alongside the Engineering Area Managers and Engineering Team Leaders, you will support and oversee the annual maintenance schedule for the rides, as well as managing the Asset  Management team to ensure rides remain safe and operational to meet park requirements.

With significant experience and knowledge of Planned Preventative Maintenance and facilities management systems. This calls for strong, effective leadership combined with proven project management skills and an ability to clearly focus on the planning & preparation of the activities administered by mechanical and electrical engineering personnel throughout the operational season and winter maintenance period.

About You 

We are looking for the following skills and experience;

  • HND/HNC qualification in a relevant engineering discipline; supplemented by at least 3 years’ experience of working ideally in a theme park environment, or other comparable heavy or production engineering maintenance role.
  • Significant experience and knowledge of Planned Preventative Maintenance and Facilities management systems.
  • Proven experience of CI i.e. Lean Six Sigma.
  • Ability to produce and utilise reporting data to provide on-going guidance on asset data and trends, to support root cause analysis.
  • Management of departmental budgets.
  • Strong, effective leadership combined with proven project managerial skills.
  • Be proficient with time management and capable of working with minimum supervision.


This role is full time, permanent, averaging 40 hours per week and will include working weekends, evenings and bank holidays as required.
