We are LEGOLAND California Resort - the place where FUN is built and memories are made. Across our Resort we have two fantastic LEGO themed Hotels, a Water Park, a SEA LIFE Aquarium, more than 60 rides and attractions, 20 food and beverage locations, and 14 retail stores – the opportunities here are endless!

Position summary:     The Central Planning Assistant Manager role exists to ensure that the Resort is always efficiently resourced, across all departments, in line with visitor numbers and available staffing, to deliver a world class guest experience. To consistently be the No. 1 resort in the US for Merlin and elevating the LEGOLAND experience to new heights for Model Citizens and Guests.

Scope of Role:

· Ensure scheduling maximizes staff utilization to optimize the number of unique individual employees required to meet departmental unit needs and maximize retention.

· Ensure the Resort is resourced to departmental unit requirements based on line schedules, budgets and ongoing data analysis of guest flow.

· Partner with all areas of the resort to ensure clear and consistent communication about all schedules and budgeted labor.

· Deliver the data to support a guest journey focused resort experience, as measured by all available metrics to optimize labor management.

Main Responsibilities:

· Creates and posts MC schedules two weeks in advance.

· Oversees and addresses all MC schedule requests and availability changes.

· Tracks MC time and attendance for area review.

· Partner/collaborate with the departments to maximize cross skilling to continually optimize resourcing costs, building strong relationships to ensure buy-in

· Support HR recruitment process ensuring resource requirements are provided on a timely basis

· Work with partners to ensure an effective “Guest experience” strategy in line with resort strategic and tactical improvement plans.

· Partner with the departments to optimize resource planning requirements for revenue, cost and guest experience

· Continually look for ways to improve the efficiency of labor management across the resort.

· Support HR recruitment process ensuring resource requirements are provided on a timely basis

· Partner with the departments to optimize resource planning requirements to reduce labor cost and enhance guest experience

· Participate in CPT Park Duty program

· Prepare and present reports as requested using data out of scheduling systems and utilizing available tools

· Performs other duties as assigned.

· Lead weekly schedule review meeting with operations team to present future schedule and ensure buy-in schedule strategy

Background and Experience:

· Must have experience with scheduling large departments.

· 1-2 years’ experience in a visitor attraction, theme park, museum, leisure, hotel, or theatre environment preferred

· Strong problem-solving skills.

· Requires the ability to remain calm under pressure

· Requires strong organizational skills with superb attention to detail.

· Self-motivated and demonstrates initiative.

· Leads by example with a demonstrated history of supporting colleagues and staff.

· Dedicated to providing outstanding guest service

· Experience with Dayforce and/or When 2 Work preferred

· Must show high aptitude in the use of all Microsoft Office modules

· Open availability to be able to support theme park operational hours
