Often a guest's first impression of a property is the result of the Rooms division Manager´s skills and abilities. The Rooms division Manager has to provide the maximum level of service possible as per our luxury brand standard in the lobby or reception areas of hotel. The position is challenging and offers the opportunity for personal achievements and experience of a little known yet very dynamic hospitality market. The day to day duties of a Rooms Division Manager involve controlling the availability of rooms and handling guest arrival and departure. Manager should be professional, team-oriented, loyal, set an example of a role model, problem solving, possess good work ethics and be results driven. This position is responsible of creating the most personalized exceptional service by understanding and serving the needs of our guests and exceeding their expectations while being aligned to Mikhael's Hotel & Résidences statement.

The Rooms and division manager also controls the marketing, advertising, promotion and sales of the hotel products and services in order to maximize revenue. He / She is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with all clients to ensure their repeat business, and ensuring respect of negotiated corporate deals and rates. Additionally, he oversees the promotion of a sales and customer-oriented culture on the property.

Job Description


 Personally and frequently verifies that guests are receiving the best possible service available.
 Entertains regular and potential clients and maintains excellent guest relations.
 Handle all hotel correspondence: reservations, mails, phone calls;
 Train team in the use of appropriate sales techniques to drive revenue, as well as in the use of effective communication representative of the hotel’s brand;
 Supervise accounts receivables and follow up on payments.
 Propose strategies for revenue management and to increase occupancy and average rate.
 Supervise and follow up on routine maintenance schedule
 Liaise with housekeeping department and supervise the quality of rooms’ cleaning.
 Maintain cordial relations with corporate and VIP’s clients;

Sobre ti

A young leader and entrepreneur with a multicultural background who desires new challenges. Candidate must have a particular interest in Africa as well as possess strong analytical skills to understand and respond to key business indicators and competitive trends.

 Fluent in French and English (written and spoken). More languages will be an added value.
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
 Experience in sales and reservations
 Multicultural exposure. Previous experience in Africa is considered an added value;
 5 years of experience in Front Office, sales and reservations in the luxury hotel industry;
 Ability to work calmly and effectively with in-house and external clients as well as hotel team in all situations;
 Courteous, polite and self-maintained;
 Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and property management systems;
 Understanding and proven track record in utilizing revenue management techniques
