With Marriott being the premier hospitality brand globally, we are excited to present this exceptional J1 Host site. Experience training in true decadence at a 300-acre tropical paradise located in the heart of Miami. With 36 holes of championship golf, award-winning dining options, a five-acre water park, a spa, and a fitness centre—our haven offers an endless escape for guests filled with luxury and recreation.


This host site features six diverse dining options ranging from fine dining to casual poolside experiences, making it an ideal setting for Food & Beverage and Culinary Arts training across various outlets. Situated in Miami, with numerous attractions and cultural hotspots, you can spend your days off exploring the local Miami area, Florida, or easily access other destinations in the USA via train, car, or flights. J-1 Interns can delve into the realms of Food and Beverage Management or master Culinary Arts at one of the world’s most esteemed brands. This opportunity is exclusively for interns, with hourly pay ranging from $14 to $16.50. Training will typically be 40 hours per week, with a legal requirement of at least 32 hours per week.


The J1 Programs are managed by a skilled team, including the Director of Food and Beverage, Director of Front Office, Director of Human Resources, and Executive Chef. T4H collaborates with local real estate agents to provide housing options priced between $800 and $1,000 per month. Additional benefits include free meals during shifts, team outings, and member events.


We are currently scheduling interviews for the following internships at JW Marriott:


  • Culinary Arts Intern positions available from October, November, and December for 12 months.
  • F&B Intern positions starting in October, November, and December for a duration of 12 months.
  • Front Office Intern positions starting in October, November, and December for 12 months.


Culinary Arts Hourly training pay is $16.50. Training includes 4 phases, excluding Orientation:

  1. Banquets
  2. Casual dining Restaurant Rotation
  3. Fine dining Restaurant Rotation
  4. In Room Dining


F&B Hourly training pay is $15 (non-tipped training). Training is 4 phases, excluding Orientation:

  1. F&B Basic Training
  2. Food & Beverage: Casual Dining
  3. Food & Beverage: Fine Dining
  4. Banquets and Events


Front Office Hourly training pay is $16. Training is 4 phases, excluding Orientation:

  1. Front Office Basic Training
  2. PBX
  3. Housekeeping Inspector and Floor Supervisor.
  4. Spa Operations


J1 PROGRAM FEES:

  1. $3,745 (This covers Visa Sponsorship with 24/7 emergency assistance, DS paperwork, insurance, and arrival coordination)
  2. $220 SEVIS fee
  3. $180 Embassy fee
  4. Flight and other expenses are the responsibility of the candidate.

This is a J1 Internship meaning you must qualify for a USA J-1 Intern or Trainee Visa for 12 months ( this also includes 30 days to travel at the end of your program if you wish).


Culinary Arts Applications:

1. Be at least 18 years of age at the time of your application.

2. There are several avenues to qualify for a J-1 intern or trainee visa:

a. You are currently enrolled in a Culinary higher diploma or degree and your college is recognized by your local government OR

b. You have graduated from a Culinary higher diploma or degree in the past 12 months OR

c. You have graduated from a Culinary higher diploma or degree longer than 12 months ago and have 12 months of full time work experience in the Culinary Arts outside the United States OR

d. You have at least 5 years of full time professional work experience in the Culinary industry


Food and Beverage Applications:

1. Be at least 18 years of age at the time of your application.

2. There are several avenues to qualify for an intern or trainee visa:

a You are currently enrolled in a Hospitality/Events/Tourism/Hotel Management or related higher diploma or degree and your college is recognized by your local government OR

b. You have graduated from a Hospitality/Events/Tourism/Hotel Management or related higher diploma or degree in the past 12 months OR

c. You have graduated from a Hospitality/Events/Tourism/Hotel Management or related higher diploma or degree longer than 12 months ago and have 12 months of full time work experience in the Hospitality industry outside the United States OR

d. You have at least 5 years of full time work experience in the Hospitality industry, focused on F&B service.


Front Office Applications:

1. Be at least 18 years of age at the time of your application.

2. There are several avenues to qualify for an intern or trainee visa:

a You are currently enrolled in a Hospitality/Events/Tourism/Hotel Management or related higher diploma or degree and your college is recognized by your local government OR

b. You have graduated from a Hospitality/Events/Tourism/Hotel Management or related higher diploma or degree in the past 12 months ( Please note if this is longer than 1 year before your US program start date you must have 1 year of full time Front office work experience).

c. You have graduated from a Hospitality/Events/Tourism/Hotel Management or related higher diploma or degree longer than 12 months ago and have 12 months of full time work experience in the Hospitality industry outside the United States OR

d. You have at least 5 years of full time work experience in the Hospitality industry, focused on Front office operations.
