Edsa Shangri-La, Manila is the only five-star deluxe city-resort convention hotel in Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila's second largest business district. Adjacent to two major shopping complexes in the country - Shangri-La Plaza Mall and SM Megamall. It is seven-kilometres from the Makati Central Business District and 13 kilometers from the international airport.

We are hiring for an Assistant Chief Steward.

As an Assistant Chief Steward, we rely on you to:

• Maintainhigh standards of food preparation and service in the appointed kitchen(s), according to the standards set by the Management.
• Control the flow and supply of operating equipment (chinaware/glassware/silverware/flatware etc.)
• Maintaininventories and par stock compilation (conduct quarterly inventories)
• Ensurecleanliness and order of all stewarding stores (labelling etc.)
• Arrangerequisition of par stocks and supplies of stewarding storeroom to ensure sufficient items for operations at all times.
• Practiceeconomy of chemical and cleaning supplies, electricity and water whenever possible.
• Ensurethat staffs are equipped with the proper knowledge and equipment in order for them to work efficiently

We are looking for someone who:

• Is physically fit
• Commuicates and writes withfluency in English (as well as the local language)
• Has a basic safety and hygiene knowledge
• Is people and customer oriented
• Has strong interest in culinary
• Can go the extra mileto exceed colleague and guest expectations
